It fits well, as good as a genuine part
I got this seal for my Dyson V12 dust bin as a replacement to the original one. The original seal did break after a few years of usage. The fitment is not difficult once the old seal is pulled out. Tools are supplied with the replacement seal and fitment is straightforward. Overall good quality product which does the job well. When used it does hold the bin lid well and does not let dust out.

No brainer if you happen to need it
I’ve tried this on my V15 and it seems equivalent to the original. I’m not sure how the one on the machine could become damaged or faulty. I suppose it may suffer with age, after the canister has been emptied many times. If yours needs replacing, it seems worth going for this rather than a Dyson spare, saving a bunch of money.
