Very comprehensive starter kit
The starter kit has many different components allowing a plethora of different projects to have a go with. The module itself is well-made and has a camera already connected. There is a useful expansion board with a voltage regulator on, allowing it to be powered by an external source, which also connects onto the supplied breadboard.I had some trouble running the basic LED blink code (the "hello, world" of embedded development), which I believe is due to the default strapping state of some of the ESP-32 pins but Freenove were very quick to respond to my email and their suggested remedy worked so I am now able to proceed with my project. The camera web server example also ran without a hitch.I found the Arduino IDE with the 'sketches' worked fine but it hides a lot of stuff. It is great for beginners but I am more used to a professional environment like Eclipse and VsCode, so will have a go at setting those up.

Good starting kit and beyond
Bought this to get some hand on experience building sensors for the home that I can then add to an IOT platform. Very simple instructions on wiring and detailed explanations given for the sample programs that go with the projects.I did have an issue getting the ESP32 to run the code automatically at power on but support responded with a solution for me with 24hours. ( wire in a 10k resistor from the kit between GPIO0 and 3.3v feed )Good stuff and excellent support.

Not bad
Quite a few errors in the example code in the C tutorial PDF file. The included code files are correct not how you actually learn though. The included accessories worked apart from the audio amplifier board.

Good product for beginners, intermediates interested in Electronics or Programming
Amazing product, so far not had issues with any of the components. The support material especially is great, got this for my younger brother who's already been diving into several of the projects. I may get for myself later, while have studied some of the programming languages it's nice to employ this into the electronics/circuits side of their use too.

Fast delivery, well packed , good quality - but some improvement needed.
Liked -Arrived quickly as promised. Bought as gift for kid.Very nicely packed in good sorted platic box, all components well arranged.Esp32 board and breakout board looks good quality PCB with clear markings etc.Documentation should be downloaded from webiste and it comes with all code etc.Documentation is shining star here, it not only gives how to make projects but also teaches basics of every component and proj idea.Youtube channel with playlist of projects is excellent.Tested few projects and they work good, except one with camera and face recognition- it gives error of some missing file that i could not find in provided documentation and also google search dosent help.Disliked/suggestions:Although printed manual of 300pages might not be sustainable, some cheat sheets with brief important info and list of projects etc would be great for kids to get started.Projects are fine to get started with sensors etc provided in kit; but having some projects that could be fun for children should be included with kit. E.g. the boy whom i gifted this was asking , what fun thing or game we can do?May be this kit is not for school kids, but more for teenagers who already have interest in electronics or adults who want to get started with microcontrollers. In box it says not suitable for children under 14yrs. This should be clearly mentioned in info of Amazon listing. The tilt sensor provided was defective- one lead of it is extremely thin wire, seems wrong assembly or broken. The camera projects mostly do not work when battery is connected to power board, it works only with usb connected to PC. Everything freezes when usb power is removed.I hope the breakout board has not hardware fault dropping current and voltage to esp32.In nutshell- for price it is good kit to get started in hobby electronics. Some improvements are needed, that we hope to be resolved in future. Thanks for nice product.*may be after testing all projs there might be more surprises or shocks... let us see ;).

A great introduction to the ESP32-WROVER with a shed-load of components to investigate.
I really wanted to explore the possibilities of the ESP32 and this kit seemed like the perfect way to do so.I wanted to work in micropython and it's worth noting that sdcard and the camera are only covered when coding in C, that's all the incentive I need to look programming the ESP32 in C in fthe future.I found the manual to be clear and informative for all the projects that I have attempted so far and I feel confident in connecting servos and in using a motor driver chip to control a motor with the ESP32. These are 2 things I was particuarly interested in. The sample code gives enough grounding to get started with any component and then it's up to your imagination to take it further.I have also explored bluetooth communication, controlled the onboard neopixel and set up a simple webserver using the wifi.Therre's loads more to explore and I look forward to doing so.This kit is a great introduction to the ESP32-WROVER with a shed-load of components to investigate.

Very good custumer service
I received this for Christmas, from my wishlist. It was perfect for my needs, but on one of the later tutorials I found a faulty component (the camera). I contacted Freenove customer service and they were very helpful and polite. Having sent proof of the fault (a screenshot) they sent me a replacement item, which worked perfectly.I can thoroughly recommend the kit and the company.

Great kit but frustrating
Great kit, lots of different projects to build. The reason I have only given 1 stars is the instructions are wrong. I’ve only got to project 2, I followed the image of the circuit perfectly but it wouldn’t work, I then spent some time checking the image against the schematic and it is literally wrong. I have managed to get it working. I don’t know what I am doing, I am trying to learn, having this sort of discrepancy on the second project is pretty poor in my opinion. Also worth mentioning there are 35 projects, not the 120 claimed on this page
