Well-made and solid great for focus stacking. Very pleased at this price point.

The device is well built and does the job. The only down side is that the base is designed for a tripod with a bush screw size of 3/8" . My tripods are 1/4" as I think most are these days. It would have been nice if an adaptor had been included in the box. I purchased a Manfrotto adaptor which does the job. (Manfrotto Set Of 5 Reducing Bushings 3/8" - 1/4") .These are if the correct depth to screw in without causing an obstruction to the moving parts. I found that the other reducers available on Amazon were to deep!

OK and well made except for macro photography the slide has slightly too much play, so the image moves as you turn the handle in. This can be reduced by tightening the locking screw so I am happy to use it, however although this offers good value, in retrospect I should have bought a more expensive one in the hope it would be more accurate.

This focus rail disappointed me for the following reasons. 1. There is no 3/8" to 1/4" adapter to enable attachment to a standard tripod head. 2. The rail is a lot smaller than expected with a usable travel range of just 12cm 3. The small size means a decent sized mirrorless camera or DSLR will become unstable when placed on the rail. 4. The rubber on the feet don't always stand proud of the metal stand so the rail wobbles as not all four feet are level and the metal foot can scratch work surfaces. Other than that it's okay. The quality of the product looks good and the item is well packaged. The item has a nice finish. I think it would more suit a very small camera rather than a modern DSLR or mirrorless camera. It's far too small.
