An excellent liquid carnauba wax.
A superb liquid wax from the detailing geeks. Five stars. This is a superb product from the Chemical Guys. I am not one to buy into their hype and I choose my purchases carefully. I have to say, this was a good purchase. If you are buying this product, consider buying the Chemical Guys applicator pads, shown in this link Chemical Guys MIC_292_08 Premium Grade Microfiber Applicators, Blue (Pack of 8) The applicator pads above will make your work a lot easier. Okay, so a lot of reviews have been written about this product and many praise its ease of use. Let me say that it is indeed easy to use compared to a paste wax. But let me also say, it is not as easy to use as a spray wax. Let's be honest, for ease of use, you cannot beat a good spray wax like Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax and Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax. This product, the Buttery Wet Wax, has a thick consistency and there will be some resistance during the application. It is really like melted butter. That is why you should also buy the applicator pads to make things easy for you. The product will remove easily after application. This is a carnauba product and will thus provide great shine. The shine is superior to what you get with the spray waxes that I listed above. However, know that the synthetic spray waxes that I mentioned above will last longer on the paint and they have superior water beading properties. I bought this Buttery Wet Wax to try it out. I am pleased with the results. I am pleased with the product. There is a place for it in your car care arsenal. However, I think for my needs, the spray waxes are a better fit. I have two cars. They are older, higher mileage vehicles. Shine is not my main concern any more. Protection of the paint and the sheet metal is my priority. For that, a less shiny but longer lasting product is a better choice for me. Your car's paint and its clear coat have two jobs to do: protect the metal and give a pleasing appearance. A clear coat that is no longer shiny may no longer do the best job of making the car look good but it is still doing its job of protecting the sheet metal from the elements. For that reason, I do not use buffers and polishers on my cars. Not ever. Because I do not like to remove any clear coat material from my car. I would rather live with a few scratches and a less shiny appearance than to sacrifice some of the clear coat for the sake of appearance. I do not like that trade off. Obviously, car detailers have never made any money off of me! Some may tell you that in order to seal your car properly, the top layer of the clear coat must be removed in order for the sealant to bond properly. I do not think that is entirely true. Yes, a sealant will bond better to a perfectly clean and buffed surface, but that sealant is not going to provide as good a protection as your clear coat. To me, it's better to leave the clear coat alone. Regular use of a good quality wax, whether synthetic or carnauba, is fine even for scratched paint. As long as the surface is fairly clean of dust and dirt, the wax will stick. Buffing removes clear coat material. If your main goal is to protect the sheet metal for as long as you can, then you do not want to remove any clear coat just for the sake of making the paint look good. Whatever your goal might be and whatever the condition of your paint, this product will offer an improvement in appearance. And if you apply it often, it will provide protection from the elements. Granted, it will not bead water as strongly as the spray products mentioned above but this Buttery Wet Wax has enough protection to make the water slide away from the paint. It is an excellent product and one of the best products of its kind in its price range. Some people do not like the hydrophobic spray waxes like the ones that I listed above. They can irritate your lungs. Think about it. Any surface they coat will want to repel water. So what happens when the fine mist gets in your contact lenses? Depending on how much of the mist gets into your contact lenses, you can kiss those lenses goodbye. Yes, those spray waxes are very effective at pushing water away. I wear a disposable paper filter for my nose and mouth when I spray my car with those products. They can irritate your lungs. For those who do not want to wear a mask or for those who wear contact lenses, try a liquid wax like Buttery Wet Wax instead of a synthetic spray wax. You will notice less irritation from your contact lenses. A liquid wax is probably the better alternative if you are sensitive to the spray waxes. Do you notice irritation from your eyes after using a spray wax? Do you cough after spraying your car with wax? Now you know why. Don't get me wrong. I use spray wax more than any other type because they are easy to use. But I take precaution and use a filter, like the disposable ones you can buy from the hardware store, whenever I wax the cars. With the Buttery Wet Wax, I do not have to use a filtered mask. Please, let me know if this suggestion has helped you. This is a terrific product. Waxes and sealants come in many forms. This is one of the easier ones to use. It works great. And if you keep your car under a shelter, it can last you for a few weeks. Avoid parking in the hot sun to extend the life of the wax. Highly recommended.

Best Wax Out There! My Go to Wax From Now On!
What a phenomenal product! By far the best wax I have ever used on a car. I have tried plenty of different waxes over the years but none have been as easy or worked as well as this one. Application: Goes on with minimal effort and comes off just as easy. Used The Chemical Guys applicator pads and a basic microfiber towel and took me about 30 minutes to wax the car. The wax was so easy it was almost enjoyable to do. Smell: Has a distinctive but very pleasant smell. After applying and driving around for about 2-3 days, the smell was still there and gave the garage a little scent. Most waxes I’ve used smell quite bad and will linger but not this one! I know smell has nothing to do with how well the wax works, just something that I noticed right away. Finish: By far the best part of this wax. Not only does it protect the car extremely well, it has one of the most impressive shines I have seen. It makes the car look wet from any angle. 2 weeks later and about 300 miles of mountain driving, it still looks like I just washed it! We had a few rainstorms and right after the storms were over, the only spots where there was raindops left on the car was the roof and trunk, the rest of the car was completely dry! Definitely the most impressive seal from a wax I’ve seen. The color of one car is a white pearl and in the sunlight, I saw colors in the paint that I haven’t seen since the car was new 8 years ago!! Price: This was a big selling point for me. The size you get is a real generous amount. After waxing three cars (one being a SUV) I used maybe 1/8 of the bottle. Surprised how a little goes a long way with the stuff. Negatives: The only negative I have and its barely a negative, the wax itself is a bit on the thicker side. When squeezing out drops onto a pad, make sure you shake the bottle to get the wax to the top. I didnt do this after a bit when I had less in the bottle and just squeezed harder.....it shot out and got it all over. I didn’t lose much but the clean up wasn’t fun haha.

For AZ it’s an excellent car wax if you’re looking for that showroom look without all the hassle
It’s actually as good as its reviews claims. I like it better than Mcguire’s when it comes to ease of application and quality of shine.

Chemical Guys don’t disappoint
I have been slowly switching over from Meguiars to Chemical Guys. This is my first time using their wax’s and sealants. Very impressed. All were easy to apply and did a great job. I didn’t get the usual ‘dust’ from other wax’s. Finish is buttery smooth and glass like shine. Went on smooth and I was able to remove easily following instructions on the bottles. I bought the 16oz of each and so far I have done 2 vehicles and barely used any of it. I figure I can get 4-6 uses from each bottle. Jet seal was a little on pricey side and time will tell if it’s worth it. Image is a combo of using: P4 Jet Seal Butter Wax

This stuff is great.
I love this stuff- I used it early on in my ownership of a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT- (Dark grey metallic). I believe after the years- those early applications really assisted with the clear coat paint restoration. I gave that car a good cleaning before handing it down to one of my kids. The shine was still as good as the day I got it. This Butter Wet Wax worked wonders on that. Today, I put a couple coats on a used 2020 Acura RDX (canyon bronze metallic). I hoping to get the same benefits I had with the Ford. The coat on this is a little more imperfect in areas -93k miles on it so it’s been around. But, this Butter Wet Wax again brings out the best in any painted surface. It shines great. Plus it makes future hand washes easier, and when it rains, the water just flys off it, along with dirt/ dust. This is great for any car aesthetic maintenance- keep using it and it gets better.

Excellent wax, easy to use, looks like an inch of standing water on top of your paint.
After a long day working on the exterior of my car with Chemical Guys' other products, pretty much the last thing I wanted to do was to apply _yet another_ coat of whatever to the paint. I reluctantly slapped the waxing pad on my random orbital buffer and got to work. I'm happy to say that was a good decision! The butter wet wax went on at the end of a very long day - wash, claybar, rinse, cut, buff, polish, shine, wax - 8 step process that took around 12 hours to complete. The good news is that the wax at the end of the day was done with low-angle light, so I could immediately see the results. I went from hazy, oxidized, swirled paint at the beginning of the day, to clear, sharp paint that showed off the metallic flake by the time I was done with step 7. When I applied the wax, I think all of that hard work really paid off. The wax brought out a deeper tone to the paint, allowing more of the embedded metallic flake to catch and refract light. Coupling this with the freshly-washed wet look, I am a convert to the Chemical Guys lineup after trying many other products. Turtle wax doesn't hold a candle (pardon the pun) to Zaino, which doesn't even begin to compare to the CG line. Positives: It works! I've got no other way to say it. Follow the directions and love the results, that's all there is to it. It's inexpensive! Compared to Zaino, or other "premium" brands, the CG line is inexpensive. I won't call it cheap, because that has negative connotations. It smells great! Among the other products I've tried, there have been solvents that would take your fingerprints off, toxic fumes, and skunk-smelling garbage that put off clouds of dust, defeating the purpose of making your car look freshly washed. All of the CG line products have some pleasant aroma to them, and no need for heavy vinyl or rubber gloves to handle them. Being able to work with your bare hands is a real plus when you're trying to find that shallow scratch that doesn't show up to the naked eye, or feel for microscopic grit that'll leave swirls. Negatives: About the only one I can think of, is once you see what this and CG's other products do, you're going to want to keep your car looking fresh and new all the time - it's quite an investment of time to pull multi-step cleanups, and touchups every week or two will keep you busy.

Glowing Results
Last summer, I realized my 2005 black Ford 500 needed a good coat of wax. Not being loyal to any brand, I googled 'top waxes for black cars'. One website had a list of ten products, and this was the least expensive. It also had good Amazon reviews. I liked that it could be applied in the hot sun, because I can't wait around for optimum weather conditions to get a chore like this done. And last summer, we were in the middle of one of the hottest summers on record here in Ohio. So I washed the car using a wash and wax product, dried it off and applied the Butter Wet Wax. I never used a clay bar on a car; I'm a woman in my mid 50s who simply wants a shiny car without too much effort. As others note, it is easy on, easy off. I was thrilled with the results. My car did not only shine, it GLOWED. In a parking lot filled with other cars, it stood out because of its shine. My dear husband is the type who'd prefer that he know more about the latest and best car care products than his wife. To my surprise, he used Butter Wet Wax on his black Trailblazer and even tho this was my 'discovery', he was impressed with the results. (He even told me to reorder the wax when it was running low.) He had a 1991 two-toned blue Chevy Silverado truck that he was trying to sell. We put a 'for sale' sign in it, parked it in town next to a high-traffic street and advertised it in the paper. Several people looked at it over a month's time, but no takers. Then my husband spent an afternoon putting a coat of Butter Wet Wax on it and honest to Pete, when we parked the truck next to that street, we had more phone calls in one day about it than we'd had the previous month combined, and it sold immediately. After all that, I decided to buy the Chemical Guys clay bar with lubricant spray. It was a bit of work, but I liked how it took grit off the car...added another coat of Butter Wet Wax and the car is easy to keep clean. My next door neighbor turned me on to the "California Duster" that I quickly run over my car in between washes. Spring is almost here again, and I look forward to cleaning the car with the Chemical Guys clay bar and wax for more glowing results.
