Fun easy feeder for porch feeding.

I haven't used these yet. I'm finding my hummingbirds still have TRUST ISSUES with me -- even though they've been pretty close to me...

The media could not be loaded.  I love my ring feeder! It arrived in perfect condition, the lid was easy to snap on/off and, most importantly, it works! You have to be patient and trust the process though. It took a few days to earn their trust. The first day, I filled the ring with nectar and placed it on top of my regular feeder to introduce it to the hummingbirds. The next day, I removed the other feeder and just left the ring to get them used to feeding from it. Note: the ring doesn’t hold much liquid, so you’ll need to keep refilling and you’ll also need to make sure it stays upright (i.e. a shot glass or other small container to hold it). The third day, I set up a chair outside a pretty good distance from the ring feeder and would gradually move a little closer and a little closer, until I was practically next to it. Once the birds seemed to be comfortable around me, I took the ring and held it still and within 10-15 min., I had a visitor. It was so cool to be that close to a hummingbird! If you try to skip these steps and ignore the directions provided with the ring, you probably won’t have much luck (I speak from experience), but with a little time and patience, it should work for you.

I was excited to get these, but a bit disappointed. I thought the top would snap or screw on after filling, but it doesn’t. You just sit it on and it isn’t secure. Cute item, just needs to be a more secure top.

Bought this for my husband. On our old house we had between 70-80 Hummers. Now we have maybe 20-30. I bought this as a challenge... He calls himself a hummer rancher. So my challenge to him is to get them eating from his hands. I think it will give him a new goal.

This item was the 100% favorite gift of this holiday season. I added this item to a gift with some very nice hummingbird-related feeders and nesting items - none cheap. I expected this item to be kind of a little stocking stuffer, almost funny. My mom flipped out with happiness when she filled the hand feeder, followed the instructions, and invited her backyard hummers to get a little closer. Delight ensued. I can't remember the last time a $5 gift created such joy and fun. Beyond my highest recommendation!

It's cute for the price

It’s a neat little hummingbird feeder. The ring is large enough for a mans hand and is not adjustable so it can be awkward for women or children to wear. I prefer to hold it instead of wear it. The flower is quite stiff plastic which can make it a bit difficult snapping it on without spilling some of the liquid inside. It seems fairly sturdy, kids like it, for the price I’d absolutely recommend it.

Bought this as a gift. The amount it holds is very small, which is to be expected, but the person has tried for weeks with zero luck on the hummingbirds actually using it. For a reference point they have window feeders and hanging feeders that are used by 6 or 7 different hummingbirds at a time so there are plenty around.Not bad for a fun gift, but doesn’t seem to be very useful. Glad I didn’t spend too much on this.

I bought this as a gift and it came in the mail today, very disappointed to see that it’s just too cheap little pieces of plastic held together with a tag. There’s no packaging at all, no box or even plastic wrap. And it looks like it came from the dollar store for $.50, waste of money, not worth $12.99.

My mother loves to watch humming birds. This was an excellent idea and allows for her ti watch up close. You cannot assume they will come instantly. Do put feeder in area they generally are so they familiarize to the feeder look. She loves it. Its a tad tough to put on the feeder top to ring but with patience and skill ine can do it.

It’s cute but definitely not worth the money. Just a small little piece of plastic like you would get out or a gumball machine. Far to much money for what you get
