This aluminum foil tape feels very premium and doesn’t leave residue when remove from any surface! I use it to insulate my air conditioner and dryer, this aluminum foil tape works like a charm! I highly recommend it!

This tape is the difference between a portable AC leaking hot air or not. I used this around the input (where machine goes to duct), output (where duct goes to window attachment), and on duct connector pieces to form a proper airtight seal.It adheres strongly but is also reusable in my experience. I have had to remove it and was able to restick it on other areas. You can use to connect two duct pieces but it forms better seal to duct + connecting piece if you end up having to move the ducts around a lot.I recommend using smallish pieces rather than trying to wrap the full length of it around if you haven't used this before so it doesn't get tangled in itself and since it is more rigid than other kinds of tape. E.g., cut ~half or third what you need to cover a surface, then another piece for the rest, etc.

Like this type: not too thick and not too thin - just the right thickness in my opinion.

It makes a big difference from using regular duct tape.

This was half the price of the big box stores and does a great job of sealing duct work. Made of a thin sheet of metal with an adhesive backing - sticks on more like a sticker than regular tape - you have to remove the backing sheet as you go.

I had a minor repair I wanted to make that duct tape would normally work for, but the glue on regular duct tape would melt because the temperature is about 120 degrees. This stuff is working fine so far, the glue isn't coming loose or getting sticky.
