This isn't going to cool a room. It's a small desktop / bedside cooler. Unlike some it has a vapouriser rather than use a sponge layer and you can use it either as a fan or a cooler (fan + vapouriser).First the fan. For the size it's good and very quiet. I had no problem sleeping with it next to my bed.The Vapouriser. I was skeptical but it does make a difference. I was expecting a sponge, but this has nothing that needs cleaning before you put it away for the winter, and there is noticeable cooling.The light. For me this is pointless. It's not really bright enough to be a bedside light and it's not something that I will use, but it seems to be obligatory on this sort of device.There are a number of listings that are essentially identical and they may be at different price points, so look around before buying

This item is compact, portable, and perfect for hot weather. It may be small but it certainly does the job, even on the lowest setting. The lights are an added feature, they not only look great, but allow you to easily see when the water tank needs topping up.

It does cool the air it puts out, feels good quality and the portability is greatIt is not as quiet as the other reviews suggets and the air is not as cool as another model I have previously used. I most likely wouldn't buy again

It has worked better than expected for the size of it and when you add water with ice in it, it really helps to bring temperature down. It doesn't make much noise and the water tank is big enough for night time use. It is a very good deal for those who would not want big invest in air conditioning.

Wow same day delivery and a cracking little air cooler, very well made and almost air-con cold with the water in it and the ambient colour changing lights are an added bonus plus I didn't even know it had this feature. I would definitely recommend this fan especially by your bed, it's brrrrrrrilliant.

This is my second time purchasing this product, had to get one for my daughters room. It's been great during the hot days in the UK. I add really cold water and it's so cool. It's nice to be able to move it around easily too.

I think some reviewers are over exaggerating how cool this goes. Filled it with ice and froze the water absorption curtain and it's still not ice cold or as cold as some suggest. Would not recommend as it's really just a fan. Using this in a garden office

Excellent fan especially for small areas or desks. We both work from home and my wife has been hogging the fan recently as the temperature is increasing . So I decided to buy this new one for myself. Low noise for meetings and works a charm. And since its rechargeable you don't need carry a cable to plug everywhere if you are moving about in the house for any reason .
