I was suspicious when some of my recipes for cookies didn't come out right so I put a thermometer in the oven and I found I have to wait longer to make sure the temp it is correct accuracy is exactly what I wanted and the quality of this device is what I needed

Much nicer than the ones I’ve seen in box stores. Large east to read numbers.

I purchased this thermometer because the dial was large and I felt it could be easily viewable through the oven door. The base is too small to fit on the oven rack which leaves you two choices. (1) use the hook on the top to hang between oven racks. This sounds feasible but is not in practice because as you place items on the rack it blocks viewing the dial. It also gets in the way of using the lower rack. (2) place it on the bottom of the oven. Trying to read this even with the larger dial is near impossible when on the bottom due to less than perfectly clear oven door glass and lighting from the top rear of the oven. Furthermore, it is closer to the heat source so it doesn’t read the temperature near the item you are baking. The hook broke after lightly bumping the thermometer with a pan as it was hanging between the two oven racks. The metal used for the case is extremely thin and there is no reinforcement to hold the pin in place. It appears it was press-fit in the hole (or lightly peened) so it has no strength. I gave this 2 stars only because the face is somewhat larger than others and easier to read, otherwise it would have got 1 star. I would not recommend this as it’s just not practical and poorly designed.

Great product, easy to use

I use this for a very large garden wok. I needed to secure a couple of weights to the pointed end to keep it stable in the wok but that's down to my type of use. The item itself works well.

We live offgrid and our oven doesn’t have temp gage so this was a good purchase. The thermometer base didn’t fit well so I need to put it on a small pan then place in oven. Works well
