D&D Hanging Travel Toiletry Bag for Men and Women – Large Cosmetics, Makeup and Toiletries Organizer Kit with 10 Compartments, YKK Zippers, XXL Metal Swivel Hook, Water-Resistant Nylon

I bought this toiletry bag to replace a red nylon Ikea one I'd had for many years with similar features, size and shape. I chose the cognac brown color (dark tan with light tan zippers) with the leather-like trim - as a woman this masculine touch is pleasing and reminds me of my dad who is no longer with me.I always keep my toiletry bag hanging in the bathroom because it keeps my makeup brushes, tools, and small cosmetic items handy, and it makes it quick and easy to pack for a trip. One of the reasons I chose the D & D bag is because it has mesh pockets rather than just clear vinyl (which can show wear and tear very quickly). Unlike my Ikea bag, the two upper mesh zip pockets in this bag are laminated with translucent vinyl, making them sturdier and easy to wipe clean. See-through pockets were a must.As I started transferring my things into the new bag, I was unsure whether everything would fit the way I wanted. Then I realized I'd overlooked three mesh compartments hidden in the inside front of the main compartment. Everything fits beautifully with room to spare and is easily accessible. The two side zipper pockets fit my razor and eyelash curler nicely and they also come with mesh compartments. There's also an outside pocket I'm sure will come in handy, easily accessible when the bag is zipped up. The hanger is sturdy, and I like that it secures inside with Velcro when zipping the bag, unlike my Ikea bag where the hanger would flop around.The tan color bag, unlike the other colors, is a heavy canvas with a nice textured feel to it. I was concerned when I noticed two blotches on the exterior from something I'd spilled inside my travel bag that I was pretty sure was oil-based. Whatever it was, I was pleased to find that simply taking a washcloth with some liquid soap and lightly rubbing the spots for a few seconds removed them completely.The bag is well-sewn, the material is sturdy, it is well-designed and attractive too. It seems like it will last a good many years. I took this on a trip to L.A. two weeks ago and it worked wonderfully. I highly recommend it.

I have been traveling with one of these for years.Solid construction. Plenty of room. Well placed pockets and zippers. Has several water tight compartments.The hanger works great when using it in a hotel bathroom.Great value.

Let's start out with the obvious... "why did I give the bag 4 stars and then post pics of a damaged bag?"Well, my fellow shoppers, I will tell you. It it for the sheer excellence of the customer service from D&D Wanderlust!I had been using a bag from Eagle Creek for the last 12 years or so, and over the course of several PCS moves, three deployments, and a few vacations, the bag was beginning to fall apart on the inside. To be specific, the waterproofing plastic was flaking off, all over my hygiene supplies. I was unable to locate a replacement bag, and during the course of my search I happened upon this bag from D&D. Overall, the bag is very well constructed, and the organizational layout is well thought out. The only fault that I can find is that the openings on the mesh pockets are a bit small, which makes it difficult to get bottles in and out at first. Also, the side pouches are a little small. For example, I usually fit my safety razor (in a leather case), spare razors, and my travel brush (in a small cylindrical case) in one side pouch on my old bag. On the D&D bag, I have to put the blades in a separate compartment. Same with my toothbrushing supplies in the opposite side pocket, but that is because my toothbrush holder is too tall to fit. I chalk that up to being used to fitting larger bottles and the like in my old bag, whereas this bag is truly meant for traveling, and thus is meant for smaller hygiene supplies. As such, once I am able to adjust my packing methodology to fit the bag, it will work better.The bag itself is very well constructed, the zippers feel robust and sturdy, and the canvas is a welcome throwback to times gone by in an age of nylon and microfiber. The main compartment expands somewhat, and while you can fit a few full-size bottles of body-wash/shampoo in it, the bag truly shines when packing smaller travel bottles. The one glaring fault is the hanging hook. While the canvas base does velcro in place, the hook itself has no keeper and will snag on the bag when opening if you are not mindful. This could be fixed with a loop or strap added to slip the hook into. Other than that, the bag is simply functional and aesthetically pleasing.So, imagine my surprise when I opened my bag on the second day to find the ripped seam shown in the pictures. I was a little upset, as it was a brand new bag, and all I had done was transfer my supplies from the old bag to the new. I was in the middle of a PCS move, and needed to continue to use the bag as I had thrown my old bag away. My original plan was to contact Amazon once I reached my destination, but something gave me pause. In the bag was a small flyer/brochure that outlined the warranty policy, which is a lifetime warranty. So, I figured "what the hell", took the above pics, and sent a brief e-mail to the company. On a Saturday. I didn't expect a reply until the following week. Imagine my surprise when I got an email from Jack the VERY NEXT DAY! On a SUNDAY! He assured me that the damage was not to their usual standard, asked for the Amazon order number, and sent me a new bag the following MONDAY to my final destination address. Now, fellow shoppers, I ask you: how may companies would do this? Not very many, in my experience.So, to sum up the pros and cons:Pros: waxed canvas is nice, the bag is well organized, overall construction is sturdy, customer service is top notch, the bag is Made in the USA.Cons: pockets are a bit small if you are used to carrying more/larger supplies, hanging hook needs a keeper.

I was pleasantly surprised as I was trying to replace same toiletry kit bought from Lands End and used for lots of travel for 26 years. I had my doubts but is just as well made, sized, stable and sturdy! Seems a bit lighter which I like as that is now a priority for me. The compartments are exactly the same and very useful.Have recommended to friends, the hook is the best part. Hook up in bathroom behind the bathroom door or towelhook for easy access and use. Color right on, not green plaid like my previous bag, all good!

I’ve looked at so many Dopp kits online and they can be ridiculously expensive.This bag is very well constructed and durable, and is just the right size for men’s personal items, especially travel size containers, for an overnight trip or extended vacation. It’s compact but well organized, and has a hanger for easy access to its contents.

Really like this new toiletry bag. Great design and perfectly sized to fit all the items I use when traveling.The construction appears very sturdy. I do wish the hook could be secured.

I like the compartments and its appearance. The price was good. The outside fabric is water resistant and will clean up with a damp sponge, and the pattern is attractive. The side compartments are handy for items you need to pack at the last minute or need to get to in a hurry (like ear buds, phone charger, etc). The hanger is sturdy and it swivels so that you can hang it over the top of a door in the event there is no hook availability.

Not very large. Arrived 2 days late. Leaving on a trip in 2 days. I'll see how it fits my needs. Looks well made.

I am on the road every week for work. This allows me to hang it in a washroom and have my travel items ready to be used and organized.
