The best reading glasses I've found at this price point
I've made the mistake of buying cheaper reading glasses and while I'm sure there are some reasonable ones out there I haven't found them yet. I'd describe these Foster Grant Owens as mid priced. They are reasonably lightweight. They have flexible joints so the arms can bend outward a little on a spring. They have plastic lenses with moderately good optical quality. The bridge that rests on your nose is comfortable. They look nice.My first pair are strength 1.5 which I need to read books, and I've just ordered a second pair strength 1 that I will use to look at my computer screen which is just a bit farther away than when I'm reading books.

seem great for the price
these reading glasses are stylish, do the job of magnifying words, feel sturdy and are cheap. Absolutely no complaints from me.

They have transformed my bath time reading
[UPDATE 21 Feb 2017. The glasses are still fine in spite of a few 'dips' in the bath. The hinges are still just the right stiffness and the same as when I first bought them in spite of daily use in a humid environment. Original review follows]I like to read in the bath but I didn't want to keep my prescription reading glasses in the bathroom.I decided that for this purpose, I didn't need anything too fancy as they were likely to fall in somewhere along the line or get squashed somehow.Anyway, I had a look around and decided to give the Foster Grant Owen Glasses 1.5 strength a go and they have totally transformed my bathing experience. All that tiny & dark grey text that I was struggling to read is now clearly visible, even in poor light. I might even go as far as to say they make my eyes feel 20 years younger. They fit my head well although if I overdo the hot tap and forget to open a window, they can get a bit misty. However they are without doubt an excellent buy at £9.45 (although I note they have now gone up to £10.50).In spite of the price increase I still think they are worth 5 stars. If you are struggling to read small text and want the cost or bother of an optician, I strongly urge you to give these a try.

Beware Big Heads!
The glasses themselves are OK, but if you have a large-ish head like me then avoid. They are very tight. If you have a small head then go for it ...

Cheap, cheap, cheap!
I wish I had read the reviews first as these glasses are just a waste of money. The lenses are uneven in their clarity and the frames feel like they will break at any moment. Packaging is a joke , wrapped in a plastic bag inside a thin cardboard envelope, no rest for the delicate content. Overall a little peeved as I now have to buy some more. Why do people go to such lengths to manufacture utter rubbish?

mMmmmm
Lovely pair of glasses, nice lens and shape, but both hinges have come loose and I cannot tighten them up. Its a shame because I really like them, but as we all know there is no point in trying to return anything on amazon the cost outweighs what you want, just the product you paid for
