Brooks (Farraday Country) Paperback – October 24, 2016

Brooks: Farraday Country Book 2 is by Chris Keniston. This is the second in the series about the seven Farraday siblings, six of whom are boys. Their Aunt, who moved in after their Mother (her sister) died, has been worried that the boys will not find the right girl to marry. It seems love is in the air after Adam finds his true love with Meg. Will Brooks be next? Brooks in the town doctor who works long hours and until he sees how happy Adam and Meg are had not been too interested in falling in love. He knows the girls in town too well. Where would he find someone? Then he meets Meg’s best friend Toni and is drawn to her. However, there is a huge obstacle, she is married!This book is even better than the first. Chilvary and honor are definitely still around in the form of the Farraday boys.

Though we could say the dog had something to do with the love affair but it was more. Perhaps it was was destiny and there were definitely some unusual circumstances. Love at almost first sight anyway. A story well written and very interesting.

I got the first book "Adam" as a freebie, and I was so impressed, that I ordered all the books in this series that was available right now. I don't do that often, but sometimes you come across an author that just grabs your attention, and reallly knows how to pull their readers into a story from the first page on. And so far I'm happy to report, that I haven't been disappointed, yet.I love the small town feel, the polite and very well-mannered, handsome cowboys. The women are strong, and that's another real plus in my book. I also love the light-hearted humor, and the Mystery/Suspense element that each story offers. The older ladies and the cake balls had me laughing so hard, because I could just picture that scene in my head so clearly.I had no clue how this author was going to work out the biggest problem in this story, and I have to say; I never saw the plot unfolding this way. Never! But it was a really ingenius way to solve it in one fell swoop, for sure. So props to the author. I can't wait to read Connor's story next.

A light easy read. Everything works out a little too perfectly and a little too easily but then it’s escaping from reality to a place with a positive ending that makes it enjoyable

I fell in love with Chris Keniston in a previous series and just had to read the Farraday Country series, too! The characters are so believable and the small town Texas rings teue, as well. I love the little touches about Texas A&M, as well! Great, great stories by an excellent author. I just started book 5, Ethan.

Book two in the Farraday Country series and this is one series that you will not want to put down and when these two meet like the first one there is a dog involved. Brooks Farraday has set up a small doctors office but he wants to go bigger one day but he will have to make enough money to expand . His brother Adam and Adam’s fiancé Meg ask him for supper to meet Toni Castellano but after Brooks looses a patient he decides not to go as he is driving through the town he sees a woman laying in the street but when he goes to help he scares the dog that was with her. Toni iis hiding something will Brooks find out what it is and be able to keep her safe? Will these two get a happy ending? I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Love Western stories! I have read the first two and I am caught hook, line, and sinker! I love the cast especially the poker playing ladies. Both books are clean and keeps me reading to the end! I am so looking forward to reading the rest Faraway Country books. I have found a new favorite authoe!

The author has given us some strong interesting characters and some good life lessons. This one touches on spousal emotional and physical abuse with the spouses gradual separation from friends and family and the total control of all aspects of their life. The details are not graphic but enlightening and chilling in how slowly but thoroughly someone can gain control. After reading Toni and Brooks story I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Great book well written engaging and lovely family values. Modern romance with family ethics.

Loved it now on to 3rd brother !! Read the first 2 books and planning to read them all 7 books in this family

Good

The story of Brooks and Tony is a very gripping and a very sweet one. The solution to Tony's problems in the end is very sudden and very unexpected but after the first surprise at the sudden end I really had to laugh as the author never fails to surprise the reader. I loved to meet some characters from the first book "Adam" again - so nice to get to know what happens to the heroes after the happy end and to see they have a good life. Meanwhile I read the complete series but Brook's story is one of the most memorable ones.
