Not for heavy users
From the first initial look, it looks like your standard wheel. It was very well packaged! Has a pedal to spin the wheel, a outlet cord, and comes with a single bat. It's smaller than a standard pottery wheel, so a normal stool might be too tall. I'd recommend buying a children's chair/stool to sit on while throwing. It looks overall very well built and sturdy. The main reason I took off stars, however, is because it doesn't have pegs for the bat to sit on. It comes with a thick cardboard "bat." It looks like it'll warp once moisture hits it. It's not sealed or wax coated and the instructions are to adhere the bat to the wheel with a chunk of wet clay. My issue with that is its a huge waste of fresh clay (as you'd have to replace it everytime you remove the bat) and it leaves a lot of room for human error and creating an uneven surface to throw on. It's crucial for your work surface to be leveled or it'll throw the centripetal spin out of balance and you'd end up with a crooked wobbly piece. You're probably better off throwing straight on the wheel and slicing it off with your wire when it's a little dry (but that requires you to have long wait times in-between each piece). I'd recommend this wheel for someone who's a hobbyist and wants to try throwing at home. I don't recommend it for someone who does it for a living and needs to throw a lot at a time.

Great wheel with nice accessories
This wheel was packaged well and arrive in tact. It feels like a pretty nice quality unit, although I haven't used a wide variety of pottery wheels. The buttons are easy to use and the foot pedal works well. Foot pedal is designed so you can adjust it and it will stay at the speed you leave it on when you remove your foot. The tools are fairly good quality and there is quite a variety. Pretty much everything you would need aside from clay and supplies to fire the pottery. I'm really pleased with the wheel, I can't think of any way it could be improved.
