I'm a professional technician currently in the automotive field. I'm incredibly happy with my purchase of the VD70 Lite. I've diagnosed dozens of cars in the first two weeks of having it already and it seems pretty capable. It's done everything I've needed it to do from reading codes, to analyzing live data, to performing actuation tests. The device is super snappy, user friendly and easy to learn the software. Being able to charge the device while it is plugged into a car is a plus. The construction and build quality of the device seems pretty durable. The kickstand on the backside is the cherry on the ice cream. The case the device comes in is the perfect storage case, especially if you're a mobile mechanic. The case is pretty tough. Would definitely recommend.

When I was looking for a more advanced scanner, this one seemed to check all the boxes for my needs (plus a lot more). The price, the capabilities, the support and the simple to use interface. They did a good job making the software user friendly. It is also fast to get the data from the vehicle. Some of the other scanners I've used were much slower.The initial software update went smooth and quick. The auto-scan found the 3 vehicle I tried right away. The trouble codes were easy to understand and clear (although a few, like TPMS dead batteries came right back).The live data is very handy and helpful. You can even do a live graph.The special functions are really cool. You can actuate things like dampers and lights to test them independently. Although I didn't try them all, like brake bleeding and some others, the ones I used worked great. There is even key programming!I'm sure this one will be my go-to for quite a while. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do most of my own work Even when it's a job for a professional, I want to know as much as I can before I go see them.

I'm so impressed with this tool as it provides great price, performance, and quality. It does a full scan on your vehicles to find vehicle DTCs. Compared to other similar scanners, this tool offers more features with a reasonably good price. Its excellent ability is to bidirectionally control many different functions such as Fuel Pressure Control Valve Test, Fuel Trim Enable, Fuel Injector Tests, Fuel Pump & Valve Tests, Injector Buzz Test, Oil Pressure Control Test, EVAP Test, A/C Clutch Test, windows/sunroof test, rear mirrors, door, wipers, horn test, etc. Once you can control many devices with the tool, you can easily diagnose if a component functions or not. It also reads the VIN number and scans vehicle systems relatively fast. I really like the recording feature that can be used to save live data and later overlay it into a graphing format with several monitored channels. Reports can be saved and transmitted via email or presented as a PDF. Key programming, TPS monitoring, ABS bleeding and oil reset are just a few of the capabilities I plan to try them out in the future.All in all, this tool is highly recommended!
