I have been terminating RJ45 and keystone connectors since the early 1990s. With Monk Cat6 plenum cables, I was getting errors (pins 7, 8) for every one in ten terminations, and for every termination the maximum sustained network transfer was 30MB/s, on a 1GB network. With tedious troubleshooting the issue was traced to these pass thru connectors.

I am rewiring my home network and ordered these pass throughs w/boot to put on the ends of the cables.The boots didn't work for me because I forgot that I was using shielded cable. Not a big deal b/c I will reuse the boots with other cabling that I have for patch cords.Wire passed through the end of the connectors easily and I had no issues with having to redo and ends. I crimp, tested line, connected to devices and good to go.I currently don't have any need to order more of these since it's for my home network, but I ever did any side gigs I would definitely reorder this item.

still a pain to wire but at least you can see what is where better with the pass through

I am currently working on my exterior Christmas light display, that runs completely off ethernet cabling. I used these to create an end on the cable inside the waterproof boxes. They worked great. They work just like any other crimp on connector. The quality is just as good as I get from ordering the more expensive name brand ones. I tested the connections and see no degradation in signal through these connectors, even being outside. (although they are in weatherproof boxes, there is still an increase in humidity as to be expected) After a few weeks outside I see no pitting or corrosion at all. I suspect they would be just as good, if not better inside as they're intended

Passthrough connectors make terminating cables and keeping the twist lengths where they need to be so much easier and these ones were super easy to punchdown
