best handheld transciever in the market
I cant say enough good things about these little radios!!If you compare this radio to a $300 to $600 handheld radio, you will find that this one is still better at several things and the $600 is better at others (waterproof) but when you consider that this radio costs under $40, this is by far the best option, no questions asked.I bought 8 of these for my family and one had a minor manufacturing issue. I reported it to the manifacturer trough e-mail and within a week I had a replacement at home. All my other radios had a problem where the radio would go into a form of "sleep" mode and when I would press the PTT instead of transmiting it would wake up, and I had to release the PTT and push it a second time for te radio to actually start transmitting. This was fixed with a firmware upgrade, so be ready and able to do that.Pros:Small.Battery lasts for several days.interchangeable antennas.easy to read color display cna be seen clearly in day and night.easy to navigate and understand menus.Great power, range and clarity.USB-C charging & programming.Bluetooth programming.Wireless settings copy from tidradio to tidradio is super easy.Easy to unlock.6 band!!!aviation frequency monitoring.great build qualityflashlight is the most powerful of all these inexpensive radios.dual PTT & dual frequency monitoring.scramble trough frequency inversion (not super secure, but still better than nothing.did I mention the price?cradle charging available.easy to exchange batteries.firmware is upgradeable (requires $10 cable and a medium understanding of computers to do).199 memories.Cons:Not water proof, a few rain splashes are fine but dropping it in the lake is not.if you drop it, the battery falls off (I've dropped it many times and it won't break, you just put the battery back in).

Best Chinese HT To Date
The TD-H3 is the best Chinese HT yet. First of all the radio performance is excellent, sending and receiving. It does not do digital modes. It transmits about five watts and has and plenty of memory channels. The Menu provides access to a complete set of CTCSS and DCS codes, allowing access to a wide variety of repeaters. USB-C ports can be used for battery charging and programming. Built-in bluetooth allows cable-free programming. Note that the same radio can be configured for Ham bands only, GMRS channels only, or unlocked for operation in all these bands and channels (assuming you have the necessary licenses). This is done by holding down certain keys while turning on the radio. The radio has a receive only capability for monitoring AM signals on the Air Band, though sensitivity is weak. Also included is an LED flashlight, FM broadcast monitoring, and the weather channels. Be sure to read all the options when buying, such as the number of radios in the package and the included accessories (handheld speaker/mic, antennas, charging cradles).

Cool product and great customer service
I won't bother enumerating the features of these great little radios as there are plenty of other people doing so already. Instead I will tell you that I found the quality of the radios to be much better than I thought they would be. They have a very solid feel in the hand and, more importantly, work very well within the expectations you should have for a product like this. (It is a 5 watt handheld, not a base station and should be evaluated as such.)With the included short antennas (which are tuned for the GMRS band) I have about the same sensitivity as I do on the superhetrodyne GMRS radios I have been using for several years. As these radios are SOC (System On Chip) that's pretty good performance. I was also quite pleased with the reception I got on frequencies outside of the GMRS area. I am able to monitor aircraft band without having a specific aircraft-band antenna as well as various other bands (even including commercial FM).The manufacturer's programming software or the free CHIRP software make it pretty easy to bulk program the memory locations and these H3s can be programmed through a USB port. If you've ever used a Kenwood cable to program you will really appreciate not having to mess with setting that up and using it. You can also program using your cell phone over Bluetooth instead of a cable!I purchased a multi-pack and developed a minor problem with one of the radios after using it for a few days. This kind of thing happens in electronics--no manufacturer can test the radio for too long. At some point they have to ship them to the customers and sometimes a part will fail after being used for some number of hours. What matters is how the company handles this kind of thing.I contacted TIDRADIO via email (the phone number on the customer support card did not work) and received a response within 24 hours. I explained the situation and I received a replacement radio in less than a week. Excellent response time and all I could ask.Reading other people's incidents with this company I see that this the rule rather than the exception and I'm pleased with my interactions with them.

Great Radio for the Price.
This is a great little radio for $36, 2 batteries, desktop charger, 2 antennas, Earphone /Mic.Been a HaM for 35+/- years. Had many of the big 3's HT's, lots of money as much as $600, alsonumerouse Baofeng modelsYou need to read the book and do a some research on the web, lots of info and You-Tube'sReciever is very good, with a bit of configuring will transmit full power on 220, 3 Band Radio.3 modes of operation, Ham, GMRS, Normal.. go with normal and menu 52 enables 220 transmit.Very good clear display with lots of information. Seperate A & B PTT switches.Programs easy with Chirp and a $10 cable, same as Baofeng.Build quality is above average. Can't go wrong for $36
