A Song of Ice and Fire - A Game of Thrones: The Complete Boxset of 7 Books

Shipping quality was good. As of the books, I cant say anything, because its PEAK!!! Books were also in good quality, the cover page, book pages, everything. If you are a big GOT fan, then this book set is for you.

Book are sophiscated and amazing. Although I am not reading now but excited to complete it.

Cover a bit torn as usual. Books are perfect. But page qualities are average. Well a perfect one in this price range.

A masterpiece. Do I need to say more? GRRM is a fantastic writer and creates an intricate world full of incredibly written characters; a world that is hard to not care for. I had watched the entirety of the TV show before reading this (incomplete) series and I benefited from knowing the plethora of main characters beforehand. Books 1-3 are pretty close to the show but the story quickly takes a different trajectory and soon, you are reading an entirely different story. There are WAY more characters and plotlines in the books, and existing characters have many, many layers that a visual medium simply cannot capture. This is the unconventional story of characters rather than heroes and villains, and at times manages to make you enjoy reading about and caring for the "bad guys" as well. The story is well-paced for the most part (the first three books ace this aspect) and the font, though smaller than most books, is readable. I received the box set (books+map) in perfect condition and would highly recommend this series to anyone considering jumping into it. Warning: The series is dark, mature, and gritty, and does not shy away from showing the worst of humanity; in fact, it elaborates on it on various occasions. Also, it has been a decade since the last book was published. We are still awaiting the final two, and at the time of writing this review, we don't have any clear updates on when that will happen. Some of these things often turn readers away from starting this series. Personally, I never had that issue. I did not like the ending of the show and it sucks to not have a clear timeline on the upcoming books, but even with this knowledge, I enjoyed the hell out of these books.

This is by far the best present i got for myself.

Great escapism, definitely recommended to immerse yourself in a world of phantasy especially while Trump is messing up the world for the next 4 years!
