Knife Scabbard for up to Dexter 9" Blade,White

It fits the 9" Kastking Intimadator that I bought it for, I just had to wiggle handle away from sheath and it slide right in...very happy.

I think a lot of people purchase Dexter knives to use every day in their job as a butcher or chef. If that's the case, I guess they don't need a scabbard. But I use the knife to clean fish and it goes with me when I travel and on the boat, so a good scabbard is a must. I like that it fits their knives up to 9" and it closes with a nice, positive click. I just don't like that I had to order it separately or that they didn't offer a deal to buy it with the knife. I'll get over it, but the scabbard cost me almost as much as the knife.

The scabbard fits my dexter knives just fine. The rivets holding the loop are not ss and rust in a saltwater environment. After a year or so the plastic of the scabbard deteriorates and crumbles. If they would spend a dollar more in materials I would glady pay $2 more for a durable scabbard.

Knife stops in the scabbard very securely. Great addition to the Dexter knife.

I’m not sure what the complainers are complaining about. I bought this thinking I’d have to alter it so it would hold the knife in but to my surprise my 10” filet knife fits well and locks in with a safe/secure amount of resistance. The sheath seems to be shaped for other knives as it has a little curve to it but again the straight 10” filet knife fits well. No regrets here.

I did not, and suspected it fit most fish knives but, the Knife falls out, does not 'click' in and is completely useless to me. But if you want a bright white plastic sheath that contains 'no stainless steel' as it implies in the first line of the ad, hope that you have a knife that will fit as it doesn't fit all fish knives regardless of the length. You may want to ask the seller before you purchase. Maybe it only fits stainless steel knives?I think this is one of those times 'you get what you pay for'
