Excellent for Price - Long Battery Life
Very nice doorbell where you don't have doorbell wiring. Extremely easy to install; pretty easy to remove and charge the battery. Installed a memory chip for picture/video storage -- took about 5 seconds to install the memory. Camera images are not super high resolution but are pretty good (see image I just took from the doorbell). We are away from this home about 6 months at a time each year and just charge the battery right before we leave. We don't use the motion detection but we get an immediate phone call when someone rings the bell. The battery drains very slowly in this mode and based on testing thus far, it should easily be good for 6 months. We tried using the motion detection when we are there but too much feedback. There are options on this doorbell that would work better to detect people, but we don't really need it. Good enough to ring the bell in the house and ring our cell phones - we just turn on the camera on the phone, and can see who it is and talk to them. This works great when we are away and when we are in. When in, we are frequently down at our dock -- and can answer the doorbell from there. If you want motion detection engaged and want to record video while motion detection is active, you can do that but the battery won't last a long time. They do have a slightly more expensive model with all the features of this unit with a higher res camera that connects to doorbell wiring if you want to record that. I absolutely hate all of the subscription BS every vendor on earth is trying to get you to buy. We can avoid it with this doorbell which more than meets our needs. I would definitely buy this again!

Buy this, forget the other brands
5 stars, excellent product with well thought out installation and function. I’ve had 5 years with a product (sounds like Youfee) and this is heads and shoulders above in every aspect. Highly recommend. Motion and human detection is excellent, picture quality is high, I like the app a lot. These Engineers and product developers are professionals, not a bunch of clowns who decided to start a doorbell cam company in their parents basement

Great video doorbell. But then again, are you surprised? It is TP-Link, after all.
I'll write more below, but here's the bottom line: Yes, you should buy this doorbell. It absolutely beats the competitors in this area, including the one made by the company whose shopping platform you're using right now (rhymes with "Sing"). I can't say I'm surprised this doorbell is so good, though. TP-Link clearly thinks carefully about its products and works hard to put out high-quality stuff (I have several other items from TP-Link, and I've always been pleased at how reliable and high-quality their stuff is). Additional details: -Price point is excellent (just under $50 as of the time of this review). Extremely fair. These seem to be on sale regularly, so if you see it listed for a considerably higher price and you can wait, you might want to consider holding off for a bit and coming back a little later to see if they are on sale. -Set up and installation are a breeze and connectivity is great. -Motion detection is great, and you can configure sensitivity and areas for detection. It also supports person detection, vehicle detection, and animal detection (each of which can be further configured with the same options, either as a group so everything has the same settings or independent from one another). I've not tested the vehicle or animal detection, but the person detection is quite good. And if you're getting false positives, you can give the doorbell feedback and it will improve. You can also, of course, tweak the sensitivity of detection. But it's nice to see TP-Link include the option to help train the doorbell. The training occurs locally, for your doorbell only (i.e., it doesn't mean your images will then be sent to the cloud or their servers and used to train their algorithms centrally; they respect your privacy). -You can opt in to their subscription service if you want cloud recording, but I specifically sought out doorbell cameras that permitted local storage only (which is what I favor). Even with local storage, the doorbell is very responsive. -Video quality is excellent. The camera also has an "auto" feature when live streaming to give the highest resolution that makes sense for your connection speed and strength at the time of viewing. -Audio quality is similarly great. It also supports different modes of talking through the doorbell. One works sort of like a walkie-talkie, and one works more like a video call. Answering doorbell rings works like a video call. But you can sneak a peek at who is at your doorbell before "officially" answering (it'll turn audio and video on on the doorbell, but keep your mic muted so they won't know you're screening who's at your door). -Battery life is good. I've seen some complaints about battery life, but I suspect this comes from people not fully charging their doorbell or using it all the time. There's no such thing as infinite battery! Bottom line: If you buy this, I'm confident you'll wonder why you didn't make the move sooner. Say goodbye to whatever competitor version you might have and come on in, the water's just fine. Or, if this is your first foray into smart doorbells, you're in for a treat with this as your introduction.

Great product
The picture is great quality with a wide angle. Kinda hard to get connected to the internet for some reason. I just kept trying and eventually it took. Once it was connected and it worked very well. The price is great for this too. No wires and easy to install. Great product.

Good quality
I have had this doorbell camera for around 8 months now. Installation was easy and the app is not complicated to use. Picture and audio is as good as expected. Battery does not have to be charged for at least 3 months when camera is set not activate unless it detects a person. The unit will drain Very Quickly (couple days) if set on live view for any length of time. The remote unit is small and has loudness and different chime settings. I'm thinking of hardwiring it (nice option) so that I can use it for live monitoring.

Great doorbell camera
Best doorbell camera I’ve had. I think this is the third type of doorbell camera I’ve owned and it’s been the best. It doesn’t need a subscription and pairs easily with the app. I use it wireless and the battery life is great. I’ve charged it once after initial set up in about 4 months since I got it. The picture and audio quality is great and it captures motion when I want it to. I don’t have it set up to capture every single thing that goes down my street, so the battery lasts a long time. It’s also great that you can put an SD card in it and not have to use a cloud service. Highly impressed with the quality of the Tapo cams.

It is as advertised exactly. Seems to be a great value.
The doorbell is easily installed. The instructions are clear and precise. The hardest part was formatting the SD card on my Mac Book. I had help with that. Hadn’t done that I years. The clarity is great and the door chime works and is loud enough for the hearing impaired person that I am. It has been working well even at night. The angled mounts helped because my wall is at an angle. Using an SD card helps with needing no cloud storage.
