Q: so what other equipment do I need to buy for this if I want to listen to it through speakers?

You can actually just plug this into your speakers, it's what I do at home

Q: New Oasis lp on heavyweight vinyl & will not play correctly as it scrapes the turntable ? Is there anything I can do ? All my other LPs play fine.

Rather than hack bits out of precision equipment and possibly void warranty, wouldn't it make more sense to alter the actual defective product? Maybe run a dremel tool or a sanding block around the edge of the vinyl while it turns? Call me daft... but vinyl is softer for a start

Should do. Comes with a red/white audio cable that plugs straight in. I plugged it into my TV surround sound amp and it works a treat. According to the instructions you should not plug it into a phono connection, just a regular audio in.
