This is my first time ever posting a review but I think I owe it to everyone to let them know. I looked at the 1 star reviews and none of them mention this so I must just be unlucky. I think I may have gotten a letter board from a different company because I did find some reviews mentioning this same issue from the other brand.As soon as I opened the package, I was hit with this overwhelming stench. It smelled like rotting fish and it stayed on my hands after I held it for like 5 seconds. I left it in my bathroom overnight, thinking that it just needed time to air out. 2 days later and my bathroom still smelled so badly so I moved it to the garage and drenched it in Febreeze. Like literally soaked it. After going through the whole bottle, the felt part started to lose the smell but the wood part still smelled so badly because it couldn’t absorb the Febreeze as well. I tried to spray paint the wood part to coverup the smell but even that didn’t work. Keep in mind that I’ve had this for over 3 weeks now and the smell STILL was so strong and took up my entire garage and if I leave the door open for more than 30 mins, the smell travels to and lingers in my laundry room as well.I of course eventually just gave up and threw it away since I couldn’t return it after spray painting it. Maybe I just got the one defective product but this scared me from buying letter board online so I will now be hunting for them in store where I can smell it first.

UPDATE:I sent back the old one and received a replacement. It smells even worse! Returning for my money back and buying from somewhere else. What a headache!Bought this and noticed a smell as soon as I opened the box. Smelled like rotting fish!!! I figured it needed to air out so I set it up. A few hours later my downstairs smelled so bad. I packaged it up and sent it back. On the way to UPS my car smelled like rotting fish. It was terrible! A replacement is being sent so I hope it doesn’t smell.

This is cute enough for the price, and I like that the clippers are included. But, it is so hard to get the letters to stay put it ends up taking a very long time to switch out wording. Looking for a better one and may return.

This board is the perfect size for those who would like to put phrases on their board. This board comes with 2 small sheets and 1 large sheet of letters, numbers, symbols, and even emojis. It came with so many letters that it made writing out a single sentence longer than what I expected. I recommend cutting the letters as you go so that it is easier to find all the letters that you need. I made the mistake of cutting everything all at once and it took much longer than needed to find a letter to put on the board. Overall, great quality.

A little more expensive than I would prefer but works well. The letters stay in place and I've carried it all over. Also seems like the letter assortment they provide is enough. I was concerned I might run out of certain letters but for the most part I think I'll be able to manage with the provided letters.

Ordered this as decor for my sons birthday party, but, I plan to use it everyday! It is a bit smaller than I envisioned it to be, but it works great. My only gripe is that of all the emojis and hashtags it came with, there were no explanation points (weird..). Other than that, its perfect.

Very cute but the letters are flimsy and they don't come with enough $ symbols for me. I wanted to use this in my shop to promote special services and pricing but I accidentally cut off the part of the $ symbol that sticks into the felt. Its a little flimsy I will need to order separate characters to get better use of this

Bought this with looking over a million reviews and honestly it came in perfect condition and the size is fantastic for leaving cute messages or pictures around the house! Mine came with the clippers and three sets of letters(2white and 1orange)
