So I have a natural color tablecloth and wanted to decorate my table for the holidays, but I’m not really into colors especially not red. Glad I found these I was able to try a set, loved it then bought another pack as my table sits 8. It’s a really beautiful design. It’s large and very detailed considering it’s a neutral color placemat.

Cute but a lot smaller than I expected. I will keep them, but was hoping a little bigger!

And here I think I grabbed a couple of shots that really show the product quality and beauty better than the product offer does.This set of six placemats, made of a burlap and gold weave thread, offers a beautiful shimmer, to contrast against the champagne and ivory shades in this poinsettia design. When on its own, the mat offers a very festive pop of elegance and when a plate is set on it, the flower takes on a wintery snowflake silhouette.These are easy care…and if a light iron is needed, best to do on the underside. Meanwhile, the fabric is thick enough to protect from hot foods on a table surface. Yet these are not so thick that your tableware will be rolling or falling off from steep edges.Great addition to a holiday hosting service or for a bride to be, starting to assemble her own. Definitely recommend this set!

I was excited to receive these golden hued poinsettia placemats to use for the upcoming winter holiday dining festivities. But my joy was lost the moment I opened the package.First off, the box containing these six rounded placemats were seemingly shoved into flimsy square plastic packaging and then tossed into a flimsier square box. To me, it would make better sense to box a round placement into a round box. This manufacturer's error in judgement caused the pointed edging of the poinsettia leaves to bend and crease. Though I'm sure this is something that will eventually settle with the weight of a plate (or a good ironing), it was a major disappointment to see such carelessness from the company.I don't believe the pictures accurately represented the product in this case either. What appeared to be a sparkling gold thread woven throughout the design, in reality was more or less a muted, tan and beige burlap look. In fact these placemats don't seem fancy at all, but rather look to be something one can use as an ordinary, everyday placement. If a fancy tablescape is desired, then some additions of cloth napkins along with decorative napkin rings, and other table accessories would be necessary.Despite these flaws, at this price point I do believe they are still a value. The fact that they can be used year round gives the option for consumers to get the most bang for their buck. They're not at all what I expected, but they're still a relatively decent placement. There weren't any loose threads or fibers, no odd smells, and they're appropriately sized for a standard dinner plate place setting. They serve the purpose of a placement that can be dressed up or down depending on whatever vision you have for your holiday, or your everyday table.

As others have said, the size of these pieces are a bit small to be used under dinner plates, and definitely would disappear under chargers. I took off a star since I think it's a misleading description in that regard.That being said, the pretty design and embroidered lines look great with holiday decor. I'm using several as a dining room runner, as doilies for candles, and focal points for vase arrangements. Using them in multiple places helps tie the room together and I'm happy with the set.
