Underwhelmed...
I've had these for over 2yrs now, using them on and off with my many other pairs of earphones and headphones, so I think I can review these fairly. For all the 'rave' reviews these received, stating that they beat their far more expensive counterparts, all I can honestly say is that they are mediocre.- The sound is just plain ordinary.- The cable tangles with extraordinary ease.- The noise isolating is none-existent (I've tried many different buds).- Durability is questionable.I listen to upwards of 4hrs of music a day through earphones/headphones, varying from rock, pop and metal to techno, classical and spoken word. I was thoroughly underwhelmed with everything I listened to - not that it sounded bad, just that I was expecting more. My normal Skullcandy titans sound just as good for a third of the price. If you are looking at spending a little more then try some of the Jabra offerings.

Top quality, comfortable in-ears – excellent at the price
The sound is excellent for the size/type. They fit comfortably, with multiple sized earpieces in the pack (this is important, as the fit greatly impacts the sound you will experience from in-ear 'phones). The cable is the braided type – strong, and slender. The one drawback is that some noise from agitating / rubbing the cable is easily transmitted to the ears. So I would say these are better suited to working at a desk than, say, going for a run. To lessen this effect there is a handy clip about 1/3 of the way down the cable, so you can clip it to your shirt / neckline. This saves some of the noise. But I think that's a drawback inherent to headphones of this type rather than a flaw of this particular model. They are certainly the best sounding and most comfortable sub-£50 in-ear phones I've owned. Also RHA deserve credit for being an excellent company to deal with. A British manufacturing company with good customer care – something of a rarity. All in all, highly recommended.

Great sound, bad cable noise, then stopped/premature life
Sound great, solid construction, good isolation (ear bud types/options). Clearer and more open than my Sennheiser CX 300. Cable sheaf does mean less tangles too. The strength of reviews sold these to me - particularly re RHA support. However the noise transmission through cable was bad, and ultimately limited the types of situation I could use them (not moving around). So they went in my desk drawer at work and got intermittent use for a few years. Three weeks ago I got a sudden intermittent connection at 3.5mm jack end, which meant they were nigh on useable (had to fabricate a loom band mechanism to push/hold cable into jack), and then they stopped working all together. I pulled them apart to see if I could re-solder but moulding made that too difficult. So the bin awaits for these now - a big disappointment considering the limited use they've had (<100hrs). I've had my Sennheiser for 10years now and they are still working, they get steady "abuse" in pouches within pockets and work everytime. So I did love these initially (sound), then endured them (limited times I could use), then threw them.

Brilliant sound for the price
I have had these headphones for 18 months now. I also have a cheap pair of Sennheiser's (MX370, circa £15) a very cheap pair of Sony's (truly horrible - the balance has always been out of whack whatever they are plugged into and have a muffled sound to them). The RHA MA350's are a sound revelation. I bought them originally for a holiday to use on the plane - although not noise cancelling they do successfully keep the aircraft noise at bay - occasionally I just use them without music to exclude cabin noise - it's not total exclusion but muffles enough to allow sleep. These headphones get daily use (mainly to block out office noise - the bane of an open-plan environment). I've used many sets of headphones over the years (since the 1970's) - mainly Sennheiser's. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch, and always buy to a budget. The RHA MA350's are the best sounding headphones I've had for not very much money. Now the bad news - after 18 months of very hard use they have started to disintegrate. The little rubber sleeves have come away from the earpieces leaving the (very thin) wire exposed. And when they eventually cark it I will not hesitate buying another pair.*** Update ***I left similar feedback on the RHA website regarding the rubber sleeves coming away on the RHA headphones, and received a replacement pair (in exchange for the old pair - postage paid) with no quibbles whatsover. Very impressed.

Unbeatable for price and quality
I would buy these earphones time and time again. They are great build quality and feel like a great product as soon as you unpack them. They are british made and the customer service from Reed Heath is excellent - I contacted them asking to buy some replacement rubber buds as I lost some and they sent me a couple of sets out for free! Most importantly though the sound quality for the price of these earphones is amazing. Reviews in audio magazines such as What Hi Fi are not wrong in giving them 5 stars. Treble is both clear and concise, mid range is crisp without being overpowering. The bass has a lovely smooth quality and even at high volumes does not lose definition. Sound bleed is also minimal. For someone who wears these travelling on crowded trains and buses it is nice to know I am not annoying others. And the noise isolation really does work. I hear nothing other than my music with these on.I've recommended these to many friends and every one of them who has bought them has had nothing but high praise. And therefore I'm confident in recommending them to anyone reading this.
