I don’t love drinking water, so I’m always on the lookout for good flavorings that don’t add calories, sugar and other unwanted ingredients. If it includes other “good stuff,” I count that as a bonus. This product has 0 calories/serving, no sugar, and contains a decent amount of Vitamin C. Most of the other supplemental ingredients are pretty minimal, and I was a surprised by the very low level of potassium (only 5% of the recommended daily value) in a product which claims to provide “instant rehydration.” I’m not a nutritionist or a chemist, so I can’t comment on whether this product does, in fact, provide instant rehydration, but it clearly provides more benefits than plain ol’ water.It also tastes better than plain ol’ water. When mixed according to the instructions, it tastes like a very watered-down fruit punch. I’m not sure the flavor “blue raspberry” would have come to mind if I hadn’t read the label, but the taste was pleasant and there was no annoying aftertaste. The color is pretty blah — pale violet/lavender (see pic) rather than the vibrant, tropical blue shown on the product page — but it’s fine.At 67 cents per glass, this is not an inexpensive way to get your hydration, but the ingredients seem good and the price seems to be within the range of similar products.The packaging lists a company in Canada, but it does not say where the product is manufactured; I checked out the company’s website, and could find no country-of-origin information, so it’s anyone’s guess where this is actually made. The company’s website does say, however, “For the best taste and experience, we recommend consuming the prepared mix within 24 hours;” that recommendation seems pretty important to me, but is conspicuously absent from the product page as well as the container.4 stars.

I’ll start by saying the product tastes pretty good. I’m not a huge fan of watermelon but this isn’t as bad as i might have expected. I definitely feel like it gets the job done hydrating you quickly and efficiently. I had no problems with the powder dissolving in my water bottles or anything.The instructions are to mix one scoop per 16oz I believe, and it includes a scooper for ease of use. You’ll definitely get as many servings as advertised out of this container. The negative side in my second picture was the silica gel packet they included in the container. Upon opening the product, I scooped two servings into a 50oz water bottle I had, and I noticed something hard when I tried it the first time. I didn’t think anything of it really and removed it from my mouth and tossed it in the trash. The second time I tried the product I noticed it: the silica gel packet wasn’t sealed shut and all the tiny beads had mixed into the powder. I had a strainer so I decided to use that to get them all out but it’s concerning having so many of these tiny beads potentially being mixed in with your water. To my knowledge, they don’t pose a significant health hazard aside from choking if ingesting several. I would double check this step in the manufacturing process to avoid any unwanted incidents that could result. For this price, you expect something like this wouldn’t happen. Decent taste, decent quantity, not sure I’d pay the price for another.
