I bought 2 of this very inexpensive umbrella for my kids. One of them had no problem, the other one needs to be pushed harder to be able to open it fully so maybe not the best umbrella for a 6 year old (I would say 9+ years is ok). We contemplated returning it but my 6 year old really wanted me to draw some minions in it and this was perfect for that. All the kids need to leave their umbrella at the entrance of the classroom and then they forget to pick them up, this one is so small it can stay inside their backpack pocket so they never leave it behind. It’s also very simple looking so the bullies leave them alone, so far they are only destroying the cute looking kids umbrellas.

It’s a nice umbrella. Feels a little cheap. Will see how long it lasts. Umbrella is pretty small when you open it. But fits in my middle counsel in my car.

I bought this when I was going on vacation. Where I was going it's the rainy season. My friend made fun of me when I pulled it out because it does look like a kids umbrella but it opens up to a good size, and it being so small and compact made it absolutely perfect to travel. I could not have carried on a larger umbrella. This umbrella fit perfectly into my luggage both coming and going. it comes with its own zippered cover to make it easy to put away in my luggage. It had nice water resistance and it's actually is double layered which is nice but it also dried quickly which was important since it needed to get back on a plane and come home. It was a bit hinky to get open but once it was open it stayed. It was nice and sturdy and didn't bend or fold or any of that type of thing, even with a bit of wind (no telling of course how it would do in heavy wind). And I was able to get it in orange! :-)

As others have said this umbrella is extremely hard to lock open. You need a lot of strength. The only way I could get it to lock was to open it, put on floor, and with both hands push it into the floor until it locked. Of course this doesn't work in a real situation.I did leave it fully open and locked for a few days and locked and unlocked a few times. This seemed to help a little but still can't get it to lock most times.

Quality is decent enough for the price paid. Weight is lite and compact. functional; semi easy to fully open and close. My kids will use these on rainy days at the bus stop. Not sure how long they'll hold up but you get what you pay for.

Perfect to carry in a purse and not hard to put back in case. Kind of cheaper quality. Works for what I’m looking for

Lovely color, nice and compact. Good for sunny or rainy days. I'm allergic to UVB rays so I'll be taking it with me everywhere in the summer.
