Spigen SGP iPhone 5 Case Saturn [Metal Red]

When this case arrived I was like wow, there really isn't much to it. It comes in a fancy plastic box that requires a little thought to get into but it is exactly what I ordered. If your looking for anything beyond basic protection then this case isn't for you; if you are prone to drop your phones this case isn't for you. The protection is minimal, it may protect your phone if you drop it a couple feet onto the corner but there is no lip around the screen so it is completely exposed. Lets be honest, its just a decorative case. I'm not knocking the case at all, I rarely drop my phones I can't stand bulky protective cases, the Otterbox Commuter is way too bulky for me. I just want basic protection and something that protect from scratches in my pocket, My favorite case is probably the Otterbox Reflex but the bottom of them is very flimsy and breaks just from normal use. After my 2nd Reflex broke I decided to try something new and I really like how this case looks, it adds no bulk to the iphone just a little bit of individual style.

I've been using this case for a few weeks now. So far, I quite like the case.Pros:- This case fits the iPhone 5s just great. It is snug in all the right places.- The case feels good in my hand and doesn't add any significant bulk to the phone.- The metal back looks very nice. This is the best part of the case. The metal is thin but looks very nice and has a nice feel to it.Cons:- The black plastic around the phone is nothing special.- Most of the exposed edges are rounded and comfortable to the touch except for the bottom exposed edge. This edge is quite sharp and is uncomfortable if it rubs against your fingers.- I don't think it will do much more than protect from scratches and short drops but I didn't expect much more than that.Overall, I would recommend this case as a stylish alternative.

Fits perfectly! Lightweight. And looks great! Probably the only drawback is that the color may get tiny nicks over time if you keep other items in your pocket next to it. Like, a pen or money clip or keys.The only other drawback is that the top and bottom aren't completely covered which means tiny nicks on the edges of your phone too. But that's a preference thing.Overall, I think for the price (around $15 when I purchased) and the superior design, it's worth it. I also got the Spigen Neo Hybrid which I happen to like a lot better! Take a look at it before making your decision.

I bought this as protection for my iPhone 5s. I wanted something thin, as my wife has a huge cover for her iPhone. I am putting my phone in my pocket, not in a purse. So I don't want the extra bulk to protect it against keys and all the stuff one finds in a purse these days. I like this because it slides in and out of my pocket easily and it comes in some very cool colors. I gave it 4 stars only because I would feel better if the edge of the case could be a little deeper to protect the screen a bit more.

I was a pretty big fan of this case due to the low profile and added protection. However there is kind of an achilles heel...and I found it in a very expensive accident. The top edge of the case does not cover your phone and if you drop it just perfectly (which I did), the asphalt will crush your dreams.So there you go, a month ago I would've told you the lower profile was worth it and something along the lines of "you are an idiot, don't drop your iphone so much." But, the insurance claim is $175 which is painful, so I upgraded to an otterbox.

It arrived with bottom right corner of the metal loosely glued, exposing the plastic underneath. it slowly extended to top right. I wanted to save the trouble to ship it back, so I used super glue and tried sticking it back. I applied a little too much. the glue spilled out when I depressed the metal onto the case. It damaged and it irks me just to see it's condition now.It's quite disappointing, considering I only used it for half a day. Nevertheless, I'm giving it a second chance because of the red.

Great Case so far. It's beautiful and elegant. It still feels like an iPhone 5s with all of it's trim, but now you can have it in red. ;-)The largest set back on this case is that it does not have a small rim on the front side lifting the phone above table surfaces. I suspect over time this will lead to more scratches on the display, but maybe the gorilla glass 3 is scratch resistant enough on the iPhone 5s that this will not be an issue.

For my tastes it looks good and offers average protection. Most scratches happen on the edges of the phone and provides good protection on the sides however no guard on the very top edge(where the power button is located) or the bottom edge (where the charging/synch cable is located). Because of this I would say it provides average protection, because there are many cheaper, plastic cases that provide the same level of protection. The metal backing really doesn't protect anything only provides awesome aesthetic look, the rest is is plastic.

hallo,also ich hatte ja schon des öfteren Hüllen von Spigen (für iPhone 5 - ultra thin air) und war immer zufrieden. Der Nachteil beim ultra thin air und dem iPhone 5s ist, dass es darin ein wenig auf und ab rutscht. Beim Saturn "klebt" das 5s sozusagen drin und hält perfekt. Durch das Alu hinten wird das iPhone auch ein wenig schwerer, stört aber nicht (ich finde, es ist jetzt irgendwie angenehmer). Das rote Alu ist top verarbeitet sowie der Rest vom Case.Wer dieses Case kauft muss sich auch im Klaren sein, dass der Schutz minimalistisch ist. Wer sein Gerät aber nich durch die Gegend wirft, wird hier voll zufrieden sein!Ps. Wenn sich jemand gefragt hat was der Unterschied zum ultra thin air ist (genau wie ich auch ^^), dem kann ich sagen, dass es wirklich ganz minimal dicker ist (visuell kaum erkennbar), härter (großes +) und das eingearbeitete Alu hinten.Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit und würde es sofort wieder kaufen!!!

for what you are about to receive, may the lord pray that you didn't pay over the odds for it. It is a simple case that looks nice and clean and after 7 minutes you begin to wonder why you bought it in the first place as there are definitely better looking/more funky/more practical cases out there more deserving of you hard earned cash.

This is a great cover case, nice and thin, great fit and looks fantastic.However, the anodised metal part scuffs and scratches very easily, and after a month the red colour of my case has rubbed through!Such a shame, as otherwise a really nice product, hence loses a star.

Case is fairly simple for the price, probably cost the manufacturer £1 to make it, overpriced for what it is, photos of the item looks way better than it actually is, pretty much just a piece of plastic, fits perfectly nice on the phone but as for the design its not very good. If the price was like £6.99 or something it would be worth it.
