Anne Taintor 2019 Wall Calendar Calendar – Wall Calendar, July 24, 2018

Like other fans of Anne Taintor's wall calendars, I love both the glamorous retro look of the art and the way that said look is satirized by the anachronistic snarky humor of the captions: the women at whom this kind of art direction was aimed in the forties, fifties, and sixties may well have had comparably sarcastic and witty thoughts when they saw it at the time, but the glamorizing venues such art appeared in certainly didn't openly express them.But the REAL reason this is practically the only calendar I find myself willing to shell out for every year is that the designers of the calendar grids themselves have figured out something you would think all calendar designers would have caught on to after over two thousand years of the Common Era: SOME MONTHS REQUIRE GRIDS WITH MORE THAN FIVE TIERS IN ORDER TO FIT IN ALL THE DAYS. (March and June are examples in 2019.) We've all seen the humorous "PLAN AHEAD" signs in which not enough space has been allowed to fit the last letter of "AHEAD" at the end of the word, so that it has to be scrunched in, in smaller type, along the margin. At least, most us of have seen them, but apparently not most calendar makers, to whom it has never occurred that the last Sunday and Monday of December 2018 (for example) require their own tier on the grid, rather than scrunching the 30th together with the 23rd and the 31st with the 24th, so that there is no room to jot memos for those days and no way to effortlessly see at a glance on December 11 how many weekends there are till New Year's Eve. The Anne Taintor Wall Calendar, year after year, gets this right.The only other attractive and dependably planned-ahead wall calendars I know of are those by Michael Santa Cruz for Apollo Publishing; if there are others, I'm hoping to learn about them in the comments.

The media could not be loaded.  I picked up my first Anne Taintor wall calendar last year and I laughed my way through the year. It was a very easy decision to get it again this year. I use this particular calendar in my laundry room as it is the spot where I most appreciate the humor of it.The calendar is well made and standard size for a wall calendar. The paper is a good medium weight with a semi-gloss finish. It has a small hole for hanging. I think it is perfect for that special friend or even as a great office exchange or Secret Santa gift.I especially liked the one where Mom is looking for the village that is going to help her raise the kids, not to mention covering up mistakes with frosting!I have purchased a number of Anne Taintor items over the years and can attest to the quality and her twisted imagination. I'm having a lot of fun each year as I choose one or two fun things to add to my collection.

Hysterical! Anne Tainter is always brilliant and I look forward to her wall calendar every year. I dont know why but she is 10x better than the knockoffs. They can be cute, but miss her charm.

Anne Taintor calendars are fun to use, but also very handy, as the space for each day is large enough for a reminder note or appointment detail. If you have totally forgotten or misplaced your sense of humor, you might be pleased to have it revived each month. Several pages will get forwarded to errant offspring when they need an occasional nudge.

I buy Ann Taintor Wall calendars every year, I have been for several years for myself instead of being disappointed when I don;t get them for Christmas. I love them, never disappointed. I take my favorites out after the month and have framed some for my Ann Taintor Laundry Room!

The calendar cracks me up! Only drawbacks are a few months have disconnected already after less than two months, and I, personally, like bigger areas to write in

Not all of the months are funny, but the ones that are are good!

My daughter started giving this calendar to my wife years ago. Since my daughter is out of the house I stepped up and now I get one every Christmas. Great gift, funny (real advertisement) images and the sayings are humorous.
