Great little drone and pretty darn durable.My biggest complaint is that it's pretty slow and takes a while to get up to speed and even with that will top out at about 28 mph. Supposedly if you turn the sensors off it will go up to 35 mph but I would imagine you would need a good tail wind because my experience has been even in windless conditions it is not a zippy drone.That is not why you would buy this, this is great for quick launches, getting quick shots or even just filming with the drone. It is a great drone, but it did not suit my needs, so I had no choice but to return it which I felt kind of bad about because it really is an excellent product.

I am a total drone newbie, and I have ordered several cheap drones from here and returned every one for one reason or another, so I finally decided to step und and get a DRI. I went with the Flip because it was highly rated by others sites and it was a reasonable priced for the options. Just got in from my first test flight and WOW. I flew this thing so so high and so far away it was totally out of sight, and I thought I lost it on my first flight and then the controller said “battery low - returning home” and after a couple minutes it said “landing” and it came back and landed pretty much exactly where I launched it from. Very easy to control and learn to fly. You can even control it with a smartphone with their app. After being so disappointed with so many other drones it’s refreshing to find one that is great

Pros:This drone is amazing. I’ve had it for at least 2 or 3 weeks and it has flown as I hoped it would.The camera is great it takes amazing videos and photos.It’s quick and responsive when using the joysticks and releasing the joysticks.Obstacle avoidance feature is wonderful as well. I’ve come pretty close to things.I have not tested the range on this so I cannot comment on that.All of the extra features without the remote or the phone work great as well such as the follow me mode which I’ve used on the skateboard and it does keep up.I personally think it flies great at night and it takes great night photos and videos as well.I do also have a DJI phantom. I love that the flip is small enough, but not too small.Like anything with a propeller or prop it’s going to make noise however this drone is fairly quieter than mostCons:Battery. I will test this again, however when I tested it before I was lucky enough to get 16 to 20 minutes on the battery before it got to roughly around 30%. It could also just be me as well whereas I could be using different settings. I have yet to see 31 minutes of flight time per battery.At the moment, I honestly can’t think of anything else that is negative.

I’m writing this for a very specific situation lol. If your like me and you had the DJI mini 3 pro and sold it last year and now you regret it but don’t want to spend $1200 for the fly more package!! Don’t second guess this drone. It flys damn near the same as the mini 3 pro but with out the side to side obstacle sensors. Image quality is GREAT. Better than the 3 pro! Don’t second guess it. Just buy it. Definitely recommend the fly more combo with the RC2 remote.

The DJI Flip makes great video quality and operates down to 25% or so battery life remaining. I am very pleased with the product primarily used to inspect my roof and yard.

Arrived ahead of time and in perfect condition. Great seller! The drone itself is "As advertised" with its quality of pictures and handling characteristics.

Really fun and capable drone for everyday flying and 12 MP pics and 4k videos day or night ! Stable platform for all your videography with the same 4k camera as the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Get the package with the RC2 remote because that is a full-blown computer remote that allows you connectivity to the internet for updates, firmware, drone forums and flight safety checks and info. Once you fly with RC2 you will never go back to using your phone with the app!The Flip is great but has some limitations because of the prop guards/bumpers. It would be a bit slow for FPV hence is not compatible with the DJI FPV goggles. It also struggles in high wind and has a higher pitch blade noise than the Mini 4 pro. The design is really creative and versatile being able to work autonomously without the controller or with a cellphone only. Features are limited in these controllerless modes. Being 249g and with no exposed blades it should qualify for safe flight over people but alas it is lacking an RF ID feature which broadcasts its identity.I bought the DJI flip for its features and design with the prop guards which provides some safety from the blades when having fun with my grandsons. Note fingers can still get into the blades if it is held incorrectly. I do recommend this drone for all around fun and photography
