Love this thing. Comfortable, light, high quality. Doesn't interfere with paddle. Great for long paddles or fishing.

A great seat that has held up through several weeks of very rugged use
I've done two trips totalling over 3 weeks in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness using this seat. I've also used it here and there for various sporting events and other places where I'd be sitting on bleachers with no back, but the boundary Waters trips were the main reason I bought it. It is super comfortable and light enough that it's not very noticable when carrying a canoe over even long, rough portages. It folds down small enough to fit in my large suitcase for travel. The little mesh pocket with elastic top on the back is handy for stashing small items. I love the easy Velcro strap to hold the seat on the down position for portages with lots of elevation changes to help l keep it from hitting the ground. The straps that hold it to the canoe seat and that hooks the back upright have both held tight and didn't need to be adjusted or retightened at all throughout each trip. My kids kept wanting to take turns using it toward the end of this last trip so I'm buying two more for them for the next trip. I'm 5'10" tall and about 185 lbs. I used the seat in a 17' tandem Northstar Kevlar canoe and a shorter (not sure of the length) Northstar solo canoe and it fit well in both.
