Powerful, clean sounding amplifier
This is a heavy, sturdy amplifier with incredible range and volume. It has four inputs, including one balanced XLR microphone jack. I now can easily overpower the drummer and bass player in my jazz band. For better or worse, it reveals the imperfections in my Korg SP-250 piano's sound, tempting me to upgrade to a better piano. An iPod plugged into this makes a very loud, clear stereo (well, mono) that could power a dance party. Has casters which is good because I can't carry it very far. It's not much trouble getting into the front seat of my sedan, but it might be difficult to fit into a compact car.

Awesome power
This is the best Keyboard Amplifier. The Roland KC-550 has the fanastic sounds I need. I have my microphone and two keyboards hooked up to this amplifier and the sound is clear, powerful and ready go. This seller also contacted me because of possible delays with all of the storms hitting both coasts. It came in record time and I am very pleased.....

The Integrity of Roland Technology
A very good keyboard amp (and PA system too if so needed) that is great for players who use a lot of left hand bass lines. The woofer can really produce lows but the overall frequency spectrum is quite adequately covered. Our church just added a second KC-550 as a monitor for the second keyboard because the first KC-550 (working excellently) is so dominant. The only aspect I would change is the weight. Fifteen pounds lighter would be OK; twenty pounds lighter would be fabulous.

Very sturdy amp
This is a very durable amp...I dropped it down a huge flight of stairs and it still worked perfectly. It has a light static hum that it came with, but that’s natural from amps when you crank them. My main issue with the amp is that it does have side handles and makes it very difficult to lug around.

ka BOOM
OOOMPH! Output; weight; physical size. This amp is a replacement for one of two Peavey KB100s that are nearly 20 years old. Great partner for Tyros4 keyboard and as a septuagenarian, I wouldn't try to lug it around. Mounted into rubber tired gig cart the kc550 is a stand alone sound system for crowd size up to 100. A pleasant surprise to find jacks to tie into even larger PA system mixer and enrich the output to limitless size venues.Wish the exact cabinet dimensions had been on line to modify the gig cart before the amp arrived. Had to remove (didn't install) casters and handle to fit into mounting cavity on cart. High price is soon forgotten as higher quality continues to impress the user.

good equipment
I bought this for my son. He says it sounds great. Its a little on the heavy side when toting it around at gigs but with power comes weight.
