I can go anywhere!
I live in Washington where it rains all the friggin time! I wanted a weekend backpack that could hold everything and still be waterproof so I don't have to worry about what weather I run into. The compartments in this pack are so different that you can customize it to hold all your needs creatively.I left this pack out on my porch overnight in the rain to test its durability. Everything inside was totally dry. (NO RAIN COVER REQUIRED) :)If you get a large size, it will hold 62 liters. (looks like it holds 65)I like this pack so much that I hope you don't buy one!! lol. Get it!

Otherwise Awesome, probably 4
4 star only because I can't quite get my 3 person tent in it. Perhaps more judicious packing could help. Otherwise Awesome, probably 4.5 stars

Worthless. Wish I could return.
Not tough at all. After 5 months I have rips and I've never had it fully loaded. All of the strap are too long, constantly all over the place. The side pockets are worthless everything falls out. This is the only bad they made with those dumb cinches.

Reasonable Pack
I've utilized this pack for 2 years in SW Colorado, car camping, backcountry, and hunting. The Velcro on the back didn't support a hatchet after 3 trips. Also the top cover often does not balance correctly unless perfectly packed. Make sure also to get a smaller stuff sack for your sleeping back since the frame and a water bladder will not accommodate a large one. Overall decent pack but I am upgrading in the near future. However, if keeping items dry is a priority this is a solid choice.

Great suspension system, perfectly waterproof, faulty stitching compared to what I'm used to from Black Diamond
In love at first, then sudden disappointment!I bought this pack a while ago and used it a few times. Was in love with the suspension system and the various pockets on the back. It fit perfectly and shifted around effortlessly with the awesome suspension system. It's completely waterproof and the top lid pops off nicely as an adventure pack! But after not using it for about a year, I brought it out again for a over night trekking adventure in the Mountains and with almost no effort at all one of the strings completely detached from the bag. It's a crucial piece of the bag that contains a strap that snaps into the lid to keep it secure. It ripped out quite easily because I didn't even notice it for several miles until a friend said "hey, one of your lid attachment straps is missing" ... On the way back down the trail, I was hoping to find it out to no avail, it was gone. Now I know these things happen but not with the usual quality stitching black diamond typically produces. The stitching was completely torn up and the rip happened so easily that I didn't even notice it to turn back and at least grab the strap to try and resew it to the bag. Wondering if I can replace this piece or send it in to get stitched up because I was hoping to use this pack on a 3/4 month adventure around Central America in May, but it seems unlikely now. Hoping that this cry for help may lead to a solution as I really love the suspension system and comfort of this pack. But after only 5/6 weekend uses I do not think it should be falling apart on me!
