Do you have to cycle through all modes to turn it off?

There are two separate switches for the dual light. The lower light is on off only. The upper light is on solid with one push and strobe with two quick pushes. A second normal push will turn the light off from either mode. You are ready to begin again.

Is this lithium batteries?

The INTRANT is powered by rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack and includes a AA Battery Carrier to provide backup power if needed.
