A very lovely reference book.
This is a very informative book on weaving. Fiona Daly covers all the bases. The instructions are precise with lots of wonderful photography of the process. The patterns are beautiful. Intricate. The book is great for anyone who wishes to learn how to weave as well as intermediate weavers who want to learn new techniques.I liked the written thoughts, like anecdotes that seems to portray on a more personal note which reveals a passion for the art of weaving. It's like diving into a historical past history of the roots of where the love of textiles come from.Maybe people would also love to have the author write a future book about how the love for weaving fine products can and does connect people to ancient times all the way to the present day and how we shape a future. Weaving is necessary and defines how life should count.I would definitely recommend this book. I will keep it in my Kindle as a reference ebook to refer back to as I learn to weave better. I'm a beginner at weaving. Keep up the great work.

Add a frame loom and some simple tools, dig into your yarn stash and get creative!
Not to be confused with “Inventive Weaving on a Little Loom” by Syne Mitchell, which is all about rigid heddle looms, this book deals with frame loom weaving and is EQUALLY TERRIFIC! The books is very well organized and photographed, includes some history, lots of introductory information, detailed descriptions of various techniques, and five beautiful and stylish projects. A very nice addition to my weaving library.

Not completely beginner level
I am a complete novice and have to keep looking up terms the author uses as if everyone knows their meaning. The glossary does not always explain them to my satisfaction. On the other hand, you get a good idea about the way different yarns work.
