The BEST CAMERA on the Market!
I LOVE this Camera. the 1st one I bought was around Christmas time searching for cameras for two teenage girls. I wandered into Best buy and they had all these camera manufacturer representatives standing around to answer questions and try to boost their sales. The Kodak Rep walks up to me and ask who I was buying for and their ages. When I told him two teenage girls he said I have the camera for you. and then he said I want you notice the other reps are standing back because their cameras can't do this.. He told me how many times with a digital camera have you stood perfectly still, took the picture and it still came out blury. He said Smart capture fixes that.. to demonstrate he had me wave the camera and as I was waving the camera push the button to take a picture. I did and when I looked at the picture.. Crystal clear. no blur and the camera was MOVING when I took the pic.. I bought two. the girls were thrilled.. I would borrow one of their cameras from time to time until I finally bought one for myself which I keep constantly in the glove box. I' since then bought a number of them for nieces and nephews who all love them.. now their parents want one to. The video is a bit grainy considering its a low resolution but it does a pretty decent job (provided you don't use the zoom when making a video... too dark an image) and the sound is pretty decent too. I have made videos of a few bands and posted them On you tube .. and as I said.. not a bad video for a camera!.. I give this camera 10 stars! .. oh get the one that takes batteries and not the rechargeable one. easy to change batteries out in the field when it goes dead.. rechargeable.... you're down until you can get to a charger!

Kodak Easyshare C182
My sister had a Kodak Easyshare and I fell in love with it but I didn't like that there was no sound on the videos. When I purchased this model it was a newer model than hers so I thought that it would be upgraded with speakers. I was wrong. It takes decent pictures and is easy to use but the other part totally makes it suck. Why should the camera be capable of recording videos if it's not capable of recording sound? Kodak dropped the ball on this one. With this being said I paid $85 on amazon.com, way too much if you ask me, and today Oct 8, 2011 I see it's selling for $125.00, I wouldn't dare pay that much. There are much better cameras at lower prices.EDITING REVIEW: Other customers have told me that the C182 does have sound, just not during playback on the camera. This to me still makes little sense, but I do like the camera and if I find this to be true...since I'm at work I can't check that--but I'm have the faith--then I apologize to Kodak for getting a little angry! Hope that makes everyone happy! I still wouldn't pay more than $60 for it if I had it to buy all over again. And I'm adding a star since my first review was 3 out of 5.

Great camera for a grandparent!!!
I purchased this camera on Amazon for my grandmother's birthday. She loves pictures, but everyone always sends her prints and she isn't able to display them!! They just sit in boxes in her closet. I had once mentioned to her that she should get a digital camera, but she was very scared to use one.. she thought she would never understand it. I had been reseraching many different cameras to buy her. I wanted to make sure that a) it was extremely simple to use, b) the buttons were big, easy to see, and not complicated, c) the picture quality was pretty decent, d) the camera used AA batteries (so if the batteries died, she could replace them easily instead of having to recharge a rechargable battery when on vacation), and e) the camera was easy to hold, reducing the chances of dropping it, and not super small so that she wouldn't loose it. This camera is just that!!! She LOVES IT! Now, she is able to easily, with confidence, take stunning pictures with no problem! Compared to my Cannon SD1300IS, I'm actually quite impressed. The pictures she takes have vivid colors, and are very crisp. :) The camera uses an SD card and i just purchased and 8in. Kodak EasyShare digital photo frame for her for christmas so that she can display her pictures without any problems. The only con that I have for this camera is that it eats batteries. But, that could be solved if she would just take them out of the camera when its not in use... Problem solved!!

Great, inexpensive camera
I bought this camera to use for my work in the home improvement business. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and wanted good photo quality and a large video screen. I needed an SD card to work with my laptop, and AA batteries so that I could use my NiMH rechargeables. I also wanted a thicker body, to make the camera easier to handle while on the job. This camera had all of the features that I wanted, plus it has a great price at Amazon. I believe that the 3" screen is an exclusive feature in this price range.I saw several reviews mention short battery life. This didn't matter much to me, as I always carry spares. But in the 3 weeks that I've had this camera, I've used it every day, taking over 300 photos without having to recharge or change the batteries yet. So far, I can't find anything wrong with this one!I got a Lowepro Rezo 20 case for this camera and it's perfect for my needs. The interior is exactly the right size for the camera, and the front pouch has room for 4 spare batteries and a spare SD card. The belt loop is ideal for use in the field, and it comes with a shoulder strap (which I haven't used).Amazon sold me the camera, case, and 2GB SD card for less than $100, which included shipping. You can't go wrong!
