Benail 12 Inch Bird Song Wall Clock

I bought this clock as a replacement for a similar but smaller equivalent, which had become unreliable over several years. This one looks more expensive (which it is!) and has much better and louder 'songs' on the hour. Some reviewers have complained that the songs do not relate to the particular birds indicated by the hour hand or that the birds 'sing' during the night and are silent during the day. I suspect that they have put the batteries in before making adjustments, which they would not have done if they had followed the instructions. Read the instructions in full, noting that regarding am and pm (otherwise the clock will be silent during daytime and 'singing' at night) before putting the batteries in and you should have a reliable and attractive timepiece.

This is top grade project. Very superior to my previous similar clock. The bird song is clearer and the frame looks like wood. It looks a lot more expensive than the green framed ones.

this clock looks fine and sounds OK but in spite of re-setting (when it DOES start to sing at the correct hour) it only works properly for a few hours and then goes haywire again. It also some times sings through the night but not always. A bit of a disappointment - it keeps good time but it's not good for the very shortsighted who might otherwise be able to "hear" the hours through the day. Cuckoo is no longer 2 o'clock!

Birds are very chirpy and quite loud

We chose this over similar bird clocks as it had a large clock-face which looked attractive online. In fact the wood effect finish is poor, and it is hard to fit one of the 3 batteries as the aperture is too small and fouls the mechanism above. It all worked for 11 months with a couple of battery changes, but when all the batteries were changed again after a lack of birdsong the sound did not return: clearly the relevant part of the chip had failed. This was a far worse outcome than with our old National Trust branded clock, which had the extra advantage of turning off in the dark.

just a spare for the kitchen, but looks good and bird songs pretty good, wife happy with it so I'm happy with it

I love the sound of the birds ! Although as I am not used to the click yet, I jump quite often when I hear them ! Accuracy so far , so good , I only had the clock for 2 weeks plus. I will add a review later on about it.

My wife was up to her neck on Christmas day with meals so she has not had time to examine in detail but she was impressed but it is a wee bit complicated to set up and the chimes were out of sync as was the 12/24 hour clock so we need more time to sort it out. It was just one of several gifts I bought her and she will decide in which order she spends time with so asking for a review is a mite impatient on your behalf. I wrote the review before I gave her the present and she thought it was wonderful, or it seemed wonderful. Each "number" is replaced by a bird and when the clock strikes the top of the hour it gives out a bird call but they do no match up. Thankfully my wife and I have a good knowledge of garden birds so we knew that the sound and the picture do not match but for children or novice bird watchers this would be confusing and there is no need for such confusion. Match up the pictures and the sounds would not be complicated. We have disabled the audio on the clock and I would anyone who fancies one looks for one elsewhere or seek an alternative product. This company should not be encouraged.

È molto simpatico sentire ad ogni ora un cinguettio diverso è divertirsi ad indovinare... Tutti gli amici che l'hanno visto sono rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. Peccato che i nomi dei volatili siano in inglese.Prezioso il fatto che l'ultimo cinguettio è alle 21 e sino alle 6 del giorno successivo non canta... Insomma sonni tranquilli....

Sieht gut aus,aber, ab morgens um 08.00Uhr, kein Vogelgeschwitzer ! Erst um 16.00 Uhr! Wieder ! Normalerweise müsste sie ohne Pause des Vogelgeschwitzer sein !
