I love the setting of this pendant; I've never seen anything quite like it before. One side of the stone has a more traditional prong setting (left side of image on Amazon) with a slight bit of sterling silver scroll design beneath that, the other side of stone (right side of image) appears to be pressure set by a thicker band of sterling silver with more scroll work. Very unique! It kind of looks like an eye, and the aquamarine is certainly the sparkle in it! The size and color of stone are exactly as described in the product description. Other reviewers have been disappointed by the color; I am not. I was well aware that the aquamarine would be nearly colorless. This is fine for me as I want it to match all my clothes. Also, if you look at the stone from an angle, that is when it appears the most blue. I disagree with the reviewer that stated the chain was "crap." The silver box chain I received was shiny, untangled, and perfectly suited to pendant.Lastly, the price is fantastic.

I'm not usually a review writer, but I almost didn't buy this because of all the reviews that said the stone is clear. I did buy it, because it offered free returns and I figured if the stone was clear I would just send it back. Well my stone is blue. It's light blue of course, but it's beautiful. The setting is also lovely. I only removed one star because, as some others have commented, I think the chain leaves a bit to be desired. For the price, a very nice piece.

The blue color is so light it's almost clear, but otherwise very pretty

This is supposed to be aquamarine. It's clear as as can be...looks more like cz than the March birthstone. I intend to keep it as it is a gift, but am very disappointed since this is to be a gift for my daughter-in-law for her birthday in March. It is lovely, just not the color I expected.The chain is just fine and goes with the pendant very well since it's a box chain, one of the strongest chains there are.
