The Norton Anthology of English Literature Paperback – June 11, 2018

I had been in the process of trying to find this set a books anywhere for cheaper than $100. Luckily I came across this set on Amazon for not too much especially being a USED set. I made sure to check volume B for any missing pages as some reviews described and was happy to see all pages accounted for. As a college student these are decently priced and honestly very great condition for being used. Highly recommend!

One of the most significant aspects of the series of books is that it’s split between the three areas of English history: Old English, Middle English, And Modern English. I appreciate that each book has its own story to tell, and not only is it an incredibly detailed story, but it also provides exemplary examples of great pieces of literature from each time period. Also, for those wondering how one can read the examples from Old English and Middle English, luckily enough, the author has provided tremendous and accurate translations of each work that needs it. My favorite literature samples from books are works from authors like William Blake, William Shakespeare, John Milton, Virginia Woolf, etc. Each textbook contains so many incredible authors that will make you fall in love with literature and truly comprehend the transitions in progress within the English language. I recommend this book if you’re an English teacher or simply an English nerd, as it takes you on the journey of one of the most popular languages in the world. This collection of books takes the reader on a thrilling ride through history, starting from the early fifth century and ending with the modern twentieth century. If you want to know more about the history and riches of our language, definitely buy this collection of books.

The books are already outdated, and as I needed them for class right away, I had to go with the edition I got.

I purchased these for a college course and really enjoyed reading the wide variety of context and literature that was placed in these books. The pages are thin -- like bible paper or maybe thinner -- so be careful when highlighting. I was able to write on the pages with no ink bleeding through but the highlighter did bleed through just a little bit but did not mess up my ability to read the pages.

The media could not be loaded. The delivery was expected on Tuesday, which was yesterday, but it came today. The delivery times and estimates were delayed, but I have my books so I’m satisfied. The quality of each book is perfect.

First, the books were exactly as described, arrived promptly, no issues with the product at all, A+. More importantly, we had a shipping issue and communication problem that had nothing to do with the seller. Once the seller understood the problem, they immediately took action that solved the issue, and were professional throughout! They told us they were sending the books 2-day shipping, and asked us to keep in mind that it was right before a holiday weekend. The books were in my daughter's hands 24 hours later! Would definitely buy from again!

Purchased this product for a college course. Expected some markings or bent pages as the item (3 books, volumes A, B & C) were described as good used condition. These are like new. Zero markings, scuffs, or damaged pages. Arrived 4 days earlier than expected, a much appreciated surprise.
