The Best way to learn about money. It can be for educational purposes or for fun. Thanks to this purchased, my son has a better understanding of money. Definitely worth it to buy for your kids.

Great for homeschool
I'm homeschooling my daughter for first grade through ABeka. They introduce coins and use them to teach math throughout the year. Having this money jar playset was perfect! I wasn't scrambling to find coins in my house. This is convenient and ready to go for instruction.

A buy item
Great item for my autistic patient to learn. I guess they look so real that someone stole it from my office. I had to buy another one.

Works for Homeschool, Not a Class
I'll be using this to teach my children to count money when we homeschool. For that, it will work well. The bills are, of course paper, so they'll probably be outlasted by the coins. But that's to be expected. Overall, its good quality and good variety. The reason I docked a star is because it's not accurate. I'm lenient on the accuracy of the bills because you don't want to grab one on accident because you are in a rush and get it mixed up with really money. But the coins all have "play money" instead of "In God We Trust." They sacrificed accuracy for political correctness. For homeschool it will not matter. I teach using real money initially and then use the fake money for practice. But I am a former teacher. The use for this set in a classroom would be limited because I could not hand it out to the students and let them look at them while we talked about the details. Real money just isn't the sort of thing you hand out in a classroom. If this was for my previous and future classes, I would send it back. Many companies print play money like this, but because Learning Resources makes educational toys and materials, I would expect higher standards as far as accuracy is concerned.

A Homeschool Classroom Staple
Great quality, variety, price...I love how realistic the coins and the paper money look. We use them every school day and I have been very impressed at their durability. Great for money practice, teaching fractions and decimals, using as counters; they're super versatile. Highly highly recommend!

Play money for kids
Money jar came with 6 $100 bills, 5 $50 bills, 15 $20s, 15 $10s, 20 $5s, and 20 $1s. I did not count the coins. I felt like the ink was very faded on the back of the bills, it’s not unusable but did make it kind of hard to see the denominations at a glance. I am very nearsighted so that may be why I noticed it. Bills are life size and not too thick but thicker than other flimsy play money you get at the dollar store.
