It just like all the other America's Test Kitchen Losers...
I took my chances on this model since the Mastrad Orka Oil Mister tested and highly recommended by America's Test Kitchen tv show has since made them virtually impossible to find at the $13 msrp. This Cuisipro model needs to be pumped several times within each use and the non-aerosol stray is sometimes blotchy and irregular. I'd wait until Mastrad gets more product from France to the USA and try the recommended model.

Looks aren't everything
I ordered two misters, this is the chrome one. I like the other better because you can see how much liquid is left in the bottle. This one works as advertised; you have to pump it up a few times before you use it, and then you should test it on something to make sure it is spraying. Usually the first or second pump is a stream, then it changes to a spray. Hey, it works, and it is better than using a PAM can.

. Amazon should not sell this product
I purchased this pump without reading the reviews, because of a demonstration on a TV cooking show. Never again. I agree with the other reviewers. This "so-called" olive oil 'pump' is worthless. It is blatantly misrepresented as well, in the product description. It is a plastic bottle spray pump. My experience has made this Amazon purchaser so wary of new products that Amazon will not see my cash on a new item ever. Why?..because the return policy for a used product discourages return, especially for one around $11.00. If the item is a gift and the return is delayed, the return costs outweigh the refund. "Let the buyer, beware" Read the reviews guys, and I mean the Amazon executives. Get this product off your list. Or, better yet, change your return policy for products with major complaints. That should get the item off your catalog. Get this Dog banished. Cuisipro Spray Pump

Happy, once i figured out the trick.
The trick is to untighten it after every use. Then it won't clog and will last a long time without hassle. I believe the same is true for most spritzers.

Highly disappointed
I bought this in hopes of cutting back on buying expensive cans of spray olive oil. After reading reviews of various oil misters, I chose this one. I followed directions to the letter, however, I was utterly disappointed in this product. The only thing it does correctly is hold the oil. When it comes to trying to spray it, however, all it could manage was to spit out random irregular drops of oil. Not once have I been able to get a "mist" out of it. If you can actually get it to mist, more power to you, as for me, I have better things to do than fight with this thing to get a simple oil spray out of it.

Fantasic
My husband and I love to cook "healthy" and have been on a search for a spray pump for olive oil for quite awhile. Other pumps we have purchased have been disappointing in their ability to "leak". This spray pump is fantastic! It works great and no leaks due to the fact that it has a solid bottom. I would definitely recommend buying!

good design compromised by poor implementation material
worked once and then not once more.. the Cuisipro pump mechanism itself is fine and other products use exactly the same pump. However, the Cuisipro pressure vessel is flawed: it's too weak at the top. When torqued firmly to ensure a tight seal between the pump insert and the upper edge of the pressure vessel, it can buckle inward. The buckling may appear as if the threaded collar is cross-threaded when instead it's the top of the pressure vessel distorting and buckling.Once the pressure vessel top is distorted, the Cuisipro cannot be pressurized enough to spray oil. The seal bursts after only a few pumps.Avoid this product with its plastic pressure vessel.

Excellent Addition to My Kitchen
After looking at multiple spray pumps -- including the popular Misto sprayer -- I opted for this brand after reading that others have issues with leakage. So far, so good. No leaks... Well built... Perfect mist of oil... I can't complain.Great for those that wish to eat a more healthy diet. And well worth the higher price.

Good idea, bad implementation.
This is the second one Amazon replaced it for me. The major problem is the gasket. It is way too flimsy. I hear air leak on each stroke when pump. It cannot hold air pressure to pump. I tried to align the rubber ring properly, twist it to shut. The plastic will off tread when turn too tight or a bit loose, air pressure will leak. Very tricky. When it shut properly, pump the air in more than ten times will pop the tread off again. The oil does spray in a very fine mist for 3-4 second, and then another second of tiny stream, and you have to pump again.Too tired to refund/return it. It will work if I find a thicker gasket with proper diameter.Don't buy it.

Replacement to original Cuisipro
This product was to replace a previous Cuisipro mist sprayer. The old one was stainless steel, robust & gave years of faultless service. The need for replacement was the loss of the sealing ring after cleaning ( Doh!!).The new replacement does not appear to be steel -just a cheap metal like finish over plastic. The seal gave out after a few months. Can't be bothered with the 25 year guarantee hassle, so exit via bin.I would not recommend this product to anyone. A poor replacement for its predecessor.

Funktioniert sehr gut
