Very good quality. Working as expected.
Packaging was very good. High quality rubber material used for coating. Quality is very good. Cables is flexible and sturdy. Working as expected. Optical fiber audio cable is just a high speed alternative for auxillary cable, most of new TV's don't support auxillary cables. It works same as that of aux cable , just plug n play.

does not support Dolby sound ,
the product description says "The cable's multi-channel connection will even send a Dolby Digital or DTS soundtrack to an audio processor or A/V receiver so you can enjoy a sensational surround-sound experience" this is not true in my case.My set up is TCl 55inch smart tv and an MI soundbar, the cable supports only stereo sound (youtube sound plays wells with it cause its stereo ). the sounds start to crack and buzz when Netflix or prime videos are played in Dolby audio setting. the only way to make it work is to view Netflix and prime in a stereo setting which is disappointing. I would like a refund for it.

Sound breaks and no option to return. For exchange also, no one comes to take the package back upon repeat calls
It was my first Amazon Basics product but sound quality was not consistent. There were many breaks and eventually after an hour it just went blank. I had to go back to my RCB . Lets hope I get good replacement. They dont even have an option to return it and get another brand. After scheduling TWICE, no one showed up. 2 Customer services representatives giving 2 different answers. Unbelievable that amazon has this kind of service.

Don't Buy Before Read This!!
First of all, this is a optical fiber cable for digital signal. You don't need to worry about interference though length is matter. A digital signal consist of 1 and 0. Transmitting end sends digital signal (1 and 0) and receiving end receives digital signal and convert into analog signal(i.e sine wave). So, extra shielding not needed here. If you looking for good sound quality then you go for any cheaper option. Quality will be same. Though extra shielding, thick rubber insulation can protect fiber strand from harsh mechanical forces. And this cable has a good thick rubber insulation. One thing I think worth mentioning that TOSLINK is based on S/PDIF(Sony/Philips Digital Interface). It first came in 1983. It is a very old technology for Audio CD PCM streaming. It doesn't support lossless format, due to it's bandwidth limitation. Supported and Non supported formats are listed below SupportedPCM StereoDolby Digital 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus 7.1Non SupportedDTS-MA(Master Audio)DTS (Digital Theater Systems)Dolby Atmos DT:X Dolby TrueHDNon supported formats send trough PCM format..If your receiver supports it can be converted to DTS/DD.So, overall the product build quality is good. It has thick rubber insulation. If you looking for sturdy cable then go for it. And if looking for sound quality then go for any cheaper option. Hope this will helpful to you.

Bueno, bonitor y barato.

Don't omit to remove protective covers then all will be well
Never used one before. When I tried it, initially disappointed because the sound was intermittent joining TV to Soundbar.By looking on the interweb, I discovered that it might have protective covers. When I looked closely, it did. They are very small and translucent and so difficult to spot if you're not looking for them.Once they were removed it all worked fine

Does not work with Samsung
My fault for not reading the reviews and seeing what other people are saying about thi cable. It will not clip into place in either my Samsung sound bar or the Samsung TV. The cable goes into the optical slot but just flops about or falls out. The connection is not good enough to give a any signal.

Does exactly what it says on the tin
Digital connectors might be the least understood item in the chain of sound reproduction. They either work or they do not. There is no middle ground, nor is there any point in paying more for something that will do the job exactly as the cheaper one does. In this regard the Amazon Basics TOSLink connectors are absolutely spot-on. They work perfectly and have a nice rubbery outer skin which allows for easy bends without snagging up (like your earphones cable always does after spending 5 mins in your pocket).

remember to take the tiny plastic covers off the end
The most important thing you need to know about these cables, especially if you've never used optical cables before is that amazon put tiny little clear plastic sleeves on the very tip of each end. I have poor close up eyesight even with varifocal glasses so didn't know they were there. Amazon really need to put a little slip of paper inside to tell you this. The bad reviews I read are often "won't fit my tv". Its only because one reviewer mentioned them that i realised. It would save amazon a fortune in returns for the trouble of a slip of paper with "take the dust caps off before using"
