Great
The optical disc player in my laptop died and this is an excellent replacement. Works like a dream for CDs and DVDs. Really nice device and easy to use.

Great Addition to my new laptop
Bought this because my new laptop did not have a DVD drive. The drive is a true plug-and-play for my PC and Windows laptop. The small footprint lets me carry it in my gadget bag. USP provides sufficient power. If I break it, the replacement price is small enough that I won't cry much.

Compact & does the job
So far, awesome. I returned a cheaper DVD burner and got this Lenovo to use with a new Lenovo Carbon X1 laptop. I've been using it for installs and just burned a 6GB video DVD onto a dual layer disc without any glitches. I like the way the USB cable stashes in the back of the drive. It is nice & compact, but I wish it had a thin case for travelling.

Shakes all over once it starts reading disk
Product works great only complaint is it shakes all over the place once it starts t read disk .

Supplied software is useless or doesn't work at all
It works, but make sure you have software that will work with it because the software that comes with it is useless or doesn't work.

Couldn't get it to work.
It's flimsy and cheaply made. The software drivers off the web were unhelpful. Never got it to work

Recieved this today, works fine for my T450 (another T450 owner review said they had problems - keen to know what the problems are as Lenovo recommend this drive for the T450). Another reviewer said the cord was stupidly short, which is not my view as its cord is ample once pulled out to plug into a laptop. A spare cable length adapter is also supplied, but I can't see the use of that as the existing length is fine. It also comes bundled with software to rip CDs and DVDs. Haven't tried out the software yet. Hope this review helps.

On a a besoin d'un seul qui fonctionnera sur tous les PC de la maison ou du bureau alors ne pas hésiter. Il faut payer le double par rapport à beaucoup des concurrents mais ce produit les surclasse sans difficulté. Moi j'ai pas hésité...

Nice portable slim size optical drive integrated USB cable; easy to fit into your bag or computer case. Does not requires external power. Works great, and supported by any ThinkPad I've tried it with. Have used it to install software, rip CDs to my hard rive, and play DVDs on my laptop while traveling. Still works great after several years.
