GNC Pro Performance HMB 1000 240 Tablets

This is a very good price for this product. Note that it has 240 one-gram tablets (which are easy to swallow) compared to other products that have only 90. At 62, I have found it very useful in helping me gain more muscle from my resistance training. It is a metabolite of leucine (a BCAA) and is non-hormonal. I recommend it.

I am 57 and started doing some moderate bodybuilding about a year ago. However, I noticed that my recovery between workouts was slacking. To the point where I would just melt down once every few weeks and have to take an extra day off of training to let my body rest and recover. My trainer recommended HMB, and I have been on these (3x/day) for the past few weeks now. Don't expect miracles here ... you will be disappointed. But now that I have been on these for a while ... I am beginning to feel less worn out after 3-4 sessions per week. Hoping to see the improvement continue.

Four pills for 1 gram is ridiculous! It's a marketing ploy to make their product seem cheap when it's way over priced. HMB is a good supplement, but find another brand!

You have to take four pills to get 1000mg!!!!!!!!!! That means you only get 60 servings per bottle the other review was wrong he stated one pill contained 1gm and the label isnt shown on the site

Be sure to do the math when comparing HMB brands because the potencies (and consequently the actual cost/month) can vary widely.Do some research to determine the daily dose you want (the minimum seems to be 1000 mg/day up to 3000 mg/day depending on your goals). Then calculate the dose cost per DAY instead of the cost per capsule. As reviewer Chris noted, each capsule of the GNC product is only 250 mg, If your goal is 3000mg/day, you would have to take 4*3 = 12 caps/day and this 240-cap bottle would only last 20 days.There are other brands with a much lower cost and each cap containing 1000 mg so you take only 3 caps/day, 90/month. 240 sounds like a lot of caps until you realize it will last you less than a month. Not too mention you're ingesting a lot of filler stuff in the 12 caps you're swallowing each day.

GIVES BETTER PERFORMANCE.

Too many confounding factors to tell if this stuff actually "works", but as long as it is what is advertised, the research supports it and this is a good price.
