Lidgate's Chicken Asparagus and Pistachio Nut Sausages, 500g

Having seen the list of delicious ingredients - pistachio, asparagus, chicken - I almost fell over myself to purchase them. They seemed too good to be true. In the event, they proved to be just that! When I opened the package, the sausages were resting in a shallow bath of clear slime, which was unappetising, but I carried on and started to fry them. What a disappointment they were! They tasted bitter/sour and after only one mouthful, I stopped eating them, shoved them to the side of the plate and then threw them in the bin. They were horrible. Apart from the bitter/sour taste, the consistency was like a smooth pate, with no bite or firmness. I'm afraid I've had to throw the whole packet away. Quite an expensive mistake to have made - and I never waste food.

Excellent sausages. Cooks very easily and retains all flavour of individual ingredients. Great for oven baking! Large option too.

These smell pretty bad.

I didn’t like the taste, which is unfortunate because the ingredients were as clean as it gets for sausages. Perhaps I left it too long before eating it.

After reading reviews we gave these a try this morning. They were delicious. Kids loved them as did we. Will definitely be the ones we buy going forward. Keep up the good quality.

Nice sausages, but a bit dry. Probably due to the lack of fat which makes them feel healthy but not like a proper sausage.
