Jazz, Rags & Blues, Bk 3: 10 Original Pieces for the Intermediate to Late Intermediate Pianist, Book & CD Paperback – September 1, 2010

This review is for Jazz, Rags, and Blues series in general, rather than this particular book in the series. My son has used many of the books in the series of Jazz, Rags, and Blues books in his piano lessons and practice time. The songs are short and interesting, a fun change from the more traditional songs in the usual piano lesson books. In particular, many of these songs are great recital songs because they show off jazz, rags, or blues abilities in fun, short songs. The kids can demonstrate their abilities but not get bogged down in longer, trickier pieces. The series does increase in difficulty as the book numbers increase. My son particularly enjoys the Christmas Jazz, Rags, and Blues book.

I love Martha Mier and all the Jazz and Rags series books. I'm an adult intermediate player I've been using this for my weekly practice sessions. Gentle intro for anyone interested in jazz piano music

I played my piano teacher's copy. I got this for after-practice fun. It's very good. There are various levels.

Very good practice music. I wish it included the chord signs.
