WOW....just WOW....
I have zero experience with straight razors so didn't really know what to expect.First, I have to admit I did not buy this to shave with (I haven't shaved since 1972), rather I bought it as a slide for slide/steel guitar in the 'Blues' tradition.Man, am I impressed with this product. The fit/finish I would rate at 95-98%. The wood scales are that ultra high count plywood that on other products is dyed various colors (you see it a lot on knives), brown, and nicely finished. The stainless blade is mirror polished. Closed, it is 6.25" long. The blade swings smoothly, though I have no idea if the tension is what it should be. Gravity will not move it, but it doesn't take much to open it.Overall, for the $8.55 I paid for it, I couldn't be happier. High end razors approach $200. Are they 25 times better than this one?I doubt it.

Not sharp enough to shave with
As it is not sharp enough to shave with even though it is quite nice looking it is basically a really pretty knife

The price is good for the quality
This is a very heavy razor. The price is good for the quality. The steel/blade is hard to sharpen and keep sharp (get what you pay for with metal). I bought this to see if I liked shaving with a straight razor and it needs a better edge on it. Trying to fine tune my art of manliness ;o)

Sharp
Impressive for 30 USD the fact that I got it for 5, well I'll be buying again for sure.

5/5 Great product. Even better than what I expected
5/5 Great product. Even better than what I expected. It is probably the best razor available for starters. It doesn't, however, come pre-honed so you would have to hone it. Otherwise, I totally recommend.
