Fantastic tool that gets it done without breaking a sweat. Easy blade swap, all the adjustments, easy to control and tough. Battery lasts very long time and has tons of power. Super value for the money. I've lent this out twice now and both guys raved about how much they like this tool!! Don't buy the Dewalt blades though, there are better blades on the market for same or less $ IMO. I have to cut quite a few round holes in connex sea containers and this thing makes it fun and easy. Sorry I didn't have this thing years ago. Yeah, and the light is great to have as well. It's a bit heavier than my corded jig saws but boy does it get the work done. 5 star plus

This product is DeWALT’s latest version of their Jig Saw tool (DeWALT Model Number DCS334B). This is one of DeWALT’s line of 20V MAX tools and is designed to run on the DeWALT 20V MAX line of batteries. This tool is sold as a “Bare Tool” which means that the tool comes alone in a box without a battery, battery charger, or other optional accessories. This tool utilizes a brushless motor to power the tool’s saw blade. The brushless motor is designed to be more efficient, to generate less heat, and to produce more power for the same energy input compared with legacy brushed motors. This tool has a variable speed trigger and a rotary speed adjustment dial. The rotary dial is used for setting the maximum speed of the tool’s motor, and therefore the stroke rate of the saw’s blade. The variable speed trigger controls the speed of the tool’s motor from the motor’s start to the maximum speed set with the rotary dial. The tool is capable of a maximum of 3,200 blade strokes per minute (SPM). The tool has a bright LED lamp placed on the front of the tool to illuminate the tool’s immediate work area. The tool also has an integrated dust blower that will clear the line of sight for the tool while using the saw. The main body of the tool is designed with a “D”-shaped operator control handle with the variable speed trigger placed in the conventional location for activation with the user’s index finger. A trigger lock is placed next to the trigger for convenient access by the user. The rotary speed adjustment dial is placed above the variable speed trigger. The “D”-shaped operator control handle has an elastomer over-molded surface to provide the operator a positive purchase upon the tool for superior grip and control of the tool in use. The front of the tool also has an over-molded surface to provide the user with another surface to use to control the tool if extra control is deemed necessary. The tool may be used with either the user’s right or left hand equally well. Overall, the tool is relatively compact for such a powerful tool but the tool is designed so that the user can still maintain maximum control at all times. This tool employs an all-metal, lever-action, keyless blade change system. This system allows for quick and easy changes of the “T”-shank type jig saw blades used by the tool. The tool utilizes an orbital blade action system for controlling the motion of the blade’s cutting motion. Four (4) progressive cutting patterns are avail to the user. The motions progress from a simple vertical reciprocating motion to three increasingly progressive orbital-type motions for more aggressive cutting actions. This saw has an all-metal base shoe, with a removeable non-marring shoe cover to help protect work surfaces from scratches. The easily adjustable keyless, lever-controlled shoe has a bevel adjustment with detents placed at 0°, 15°, 30°, and with a positive stop at 45° available in both the left and right directions. I really like this tool and have waited for a long time to actually purchase one. I particularly like that this tool may be set-up, adjusted, and operated without the need for any additional tools. No Allen Keys, screwdrivers, or wrenches are needed to set-up, adjust, or actually use this tool. Also, this tool may be used with any of the DeWALT 20V MAX batteries. That said, it seems to me that the larger batteries may not be as useful with this tool as the smaller batteries will be. The smaller DeWALT batteries are lighter, and obviously smaller, making the tool just that much easier to use, most particularly in tight working conditions. I think that the new, just released, DeWALT 4.0Ah PowerPack batteries (DeWALT Model Number DCB2104) will be absolute perfection for use with this tool. Now I just need to get my hands on a pair of those new technology batteries. I had wanted this tool for quite some time and when Amazon finally placed it on sale, I jumped at the opportunity. Now I am looking for the perfect case for organizing, storing, and transporting the tool, my chosen batteries, and a few needed accessories, such as blades, to complete my acquisition. I am so glad that I no longer will need to deal with power cords, extension cords, and all of the various little tools required for installing the blades and adjusting the saw’s base like with my old corded jig saw. Great Tool! Arrived as promised. Way better than Craftsman brand my engineer son in law has. It cuts better, faster and easier than his. Only thing is this one wouldnt work for someone just buying this only as it did not have a battery, which was fine since I have 4 already from the other kit I bought.

This is my first cordless jigsaw, and it is everything my corded jigsaws have been. It is powerful and lasts a long time on a single battery. It's lightweight, powerful and feels good in your hand. It has a light that makes seeing the cutting path easy, there is also a air jet that blows chips out of the way as you cut. This is a great value for the money. Most of the negative reviews I read here were because people can't understand or refuse to read in the title "Bare tool only" which simply means all you get is the tool, no battery or charger. That's why it is such a good value. Most of my cordless tools were purchased as bare tool only, saving several hundred dollars each.

Great tool. Works exactly as advertised. Loving the way it fits comfortably in my hand while working with it. Dealt power jigsaw and blades Shipment WAS AWFUL. Arrived 10 days later than the latest estimated date.

Great saw, love the light and how easy it is to change the blades. Lots of power and has a great handle so it’s easy to hold on to and maneuver!!

I looked at several jigsaws before landing on this one. Just grabbing the head of the others, i.e. Flex, rigid, bosch, cobolt, craftsman, this had the least amount of play. I wanted to love the Flex cause i own the 7 1/4 circular, sawsall, drill and impact driver. Bu it i also have lots of dewalt and batteries so i purchased this one. Great tool and i like the quick release head. Sturdy and easy to do with gloves on.

The battery powered jigsaw is so easy to use and easy to follow your line to make perfect cuts, and there is no need to worry about the electrical cord getting in the way, since there is none!
