if I could give this 10 stars i would. The ONLY downside of this, is that the charging cable does not really fit well back into its little spot that its supposed to be stored, so its always just kind of loose in the case. but beyond that it works well, charge lasts a long time, its super quick to swap bits, and has enough power to remove most screws that arent really locked into place, or drive new holes for screws, but then again thats not what its for. i may buy a second one just in case it ever gets discontinued that way i never need to live without it.It makes assembly and tear down of things so much faster and easier on my hands, making the entire process so much less stressful.

** I am changing my rating... I left the driver on the charger overnight, well past when it indicated that it was fully charged. This morning I tried it, and there was a big difference in the amount of overall torque and performance. This driver had no problem sending a 3 inch deck screw in to a 2x4 all the way in. It also had no problem taking the screw back out, although I did have to give it a little help getting it started out, and then it took over from there. It's a powered screw driver, not a drill driver so don't expect it to have the same power, torque or ability of a drill driver, or impact driver. For small projects this is great. I do want to apologize to SKIL for the initial review, my only complaint now, and be it a minor one, the charged/charging indicator cannot be trusted. Other than that, this is another quality product from SKIL ... good job, guys.Pretty much all of my tools are SKIL, which is why it pains me to not be able to give this a full five stars. On a full charge it failed to back out a screw that with just a little effort I was able to break loose by hand, then it seemed to struggle to get it out of sheet metal. The bits are great, and the live wire locator works great... but to get out a screw that was not stuck, it failed. There is always a chance I just ended up with a bad one, it does happen from time to time. I am going to test it on a few things and see if I am just expecting too much, or the tool is not up to the high standard I have come to expect from SKIL. But for right now, I am not happy.

Always want one, finally decided to buy one at sale price. Love it, make it so much easier to unscrew, much better than my ratchet set. Like the bonus feature of voltage sensor, comes in handy so I don't need a meter to check live voltage. Glad I have the more expensive model with bits and box, though was surprise it doesn't have the drill bit but the cheaper version does. Otherwise, really enjoy using it - a lot! So far battery seems to hold a charge well, torque is good but that is not why I buy it for, using it to assist unscrew is what I wanted. Size is good and fairly light, and oh - the on board LEDs are a huge plus, two of them and bright. Price is fair, and would buy again if needed.

This little handheld screwdriver has been a joy to use. It’s simple, lightweight, and fits comfortably in the hand, making it effortless to operate. Had to assemble a desk and bed and was tired of the sore hands after using basic allen wrenches from previous projects. My regular cordless drill was too large for many areas. Purchased this and could not be happier. Main thing is how fast it made the process. Using the included bits I flew through assembly AND my hands didn't hurt afterwards. Was able to reach all the sections and it held a charge for each unit. Plenty of power to tighten each screw and bolt perfectly. Would recommend this to any one who has an upcoming project. 5 stars easily.

I'm, perfectly satisfied with my Skil Cordless screwdriver kit. First, this is a cordless scewdriver, not a power drill. It doesn't have a lot of torque, but who needs a lot of torque to put a screw into a hole? If you want a screwdriver that can go into a hard piece of wood, use a drill or pay $70 or more for a major brand name power screwdriver. This a basic cordless screwdriver for simple projects.I bought it to assemble a PC and it worked perfectly for that. There is a good selection of bits of all kinds. For the price, I can't complain about it. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it claims to do. Nothing more, nothing less.So far, I've only used it once, so I can't testify to it's longterm durability.

Bought this to replace a set that got lost. Used this type for a couple years - not a high torque driver, but it's not meant to be. Don't use this to install drywall screws, for example. The bit set and case make this an outstanding value, the battery life is great, the unit seems to be high quality. The bit selection alone is almost worth the price by itself these days. Skil seems to be replacing this kit with one that has fewer bits and no hard case or one that has fewer bits and a much worse hard case - I would recommend that you pick this up if you can, especially on sale, before it's gone.

Holds charge well.Great tip options.Love the case, light and electricity checker.The only thing that bugged me was the smaller tips when removed, they don't always fit snug back into their hole so some pieces are loose in the case.
