AutoCAD LT 2008 [OLD VERSION]

I have constantly used this software to design homes, daycares, churches, and more. AutoCAD LT was a great tool at a great price. I paid approximately about $1k for this software. I use this software to do hobby work on the weekends and it has brought in additional $5k in cash. This software also allows me to sketch out ideas and put dimensions to scale to further clarify my design concepts. Every designer should have some software to produce drawings and AutoCAD LT is a great resource for that. However, Revit and Inventor are other products that are starting to take over.

I have been using AutoCAD LT 2003 and like the updates in the new version. Although it takes some getting used to, some of the changes are intuitive. The older versions did not automatically go into edit commands like 2008 does. Just click on an object and the attributes highlight and can be changed without typing in the command. That is just some of the changes that make this a really nice upgrade from earlier versions.

Never used it because my autocad reseller offered a trade in for me to buy another copy of the full service autocad. Bottom line though, autodesk is a monopolistic, predatory company whose highest priority is manipulating and trapping its customers. I would recommend that everyone migrate to another cad company that is not owned by autodesk so we can kill this monopoly. We are moving to progecad because we cannot take these cad Nazis anymore.

The product AutoCad LT 2008 is fine but sadly the autocratic company that sell it are not. If there was an alternative on the market I would deinitely buy it in preference. They appear to have an attitude that they are not selling you a product and a service but they are kindly allowing you to use their program and "You vill do it zer vay"!Please could Adobe or some nice company market an new CAD alternative.

I had the full blown student version of R13 for years and it served my purposed well until I upgraded my computer. AutoCAD is like many software and hardware suppliers and will not support any of their products over three or four years. So AutoCAD LT suites my purposes well for a fraction of the cost of the big package. The basics are still there, but a companion instruction manual is necessary to come up to date with all the useful changes that have been made since R13 some ten years ago. I am back in business.

Someone smash and grabbed it from a parking garage in San Francisco.Crime is very high there, avoid the City now like the plague. This version dideverything I need. SO bummed,, now you need a subscription to feed thetentacles over there.

This product when it arrived turned out to be Autocad LT Student version, Which can not. legally, be used for commercial purposes. It was returned immediatly and the refund was not made for almost three weeks.

Auto CAD Lt 2008 is a simple 2D CAD system. Works great and is cheaper than buying current edition. 2D CAD has not change much since coming from 2000 version.
