Sealey AUTOCHARGE12 12 A Battery Charger Electronic - Multi-Colour

The charger arrived in good time, ufortunately ther was a bulge in the outer case, but the charger worked quite well. I contacted the firm and explained and they quickly offered a replacement or adiscount. the charger does all it is advertised to do. I can only hope that it will perform as well as my old one whch lasted 60 years,unfortunately it burned out after I accidenlaly cross connected.

The autocharger12 failed within 3 minutes, no charging condition displayed, LEDs off, ammeter needle moved to zero and no output to battery. A voltmeter across terminals (+ve & -ve) reads only the battery's voltage.When in contact with Sealey Tech support I received a very polite and good response but.... this is VERY IMPORTANT IF THE CHARGER TRIPS/CUTS OFF, there is NOT external fuse,THE unit has to be sent to Manufacturer!!!!!This may or may not had been be the problem, the only way to find out was to send it to manufacturer, if warranty expires it could be very costly. Worth bearing this in mind.I feel an EXTERNAL FUSE is a must/imperative for this type of equipment.

I! 'll never be able to get to 75 words about a battery charger!, just to say that it does work what more can I say!, mind you there was a dent in the side of it I guess our "Royal Mail" dropped it someware!, gosh I could ramble on but I must go and charge up the old battery !. Well done Sealy keep going for all us old lads, lassies, and others not listed.

The charger arrived promptly and well packaged. It is quite ruggedly built in a smart red metal casing and should stand up to life in a domestic garage.But what I'd overlooked is that 'intelligent' chargers will not work with totally flattened batteries; I had hoped to revive an old 12 volt sealed lead acid battery to use it with a starter for model engines, but the battery was so flat (and, as it turned out completely knackered) that the charger couldn't 'see' it and would not start charging. This is a feature of 'intelligent' chargers - and most jump starter packs too; if the residual voltage on the battery you're trying to charge or jump assist is too low, it won't switch on. It's a safety feature to prevent damage should you accidentally touch the charger clips together.To conclude, this charger looks well made and should do the job for which it's intended - recharging partially discharged car or motor bike batteries. But it wont work on totally flat ones.

I HAVE HAD THIS CHARGER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BUT HAVE NEEDED TO TRY IT UNTIL NOW 30/4/14. THERE IS NO MOVEMENT ON THE AMPMETER WHATSOEVER. IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. NORMAN SIMMONS

Arrived the next day after ordering which was one whole week ahead of schedule. It does the job perfectly! It was worth paying that little bit more to get a better, more robust product. Well done Amazon again. It seems I always get a great deal at Amazon.

Much better product and value than anything you can get in the high street. Good solid build an good indications, i bought it to replace a much more expensive charger that decided to stop working properly and it out perform that by a long chalk.I only wish someone would make a charger with mains off button, switching off at the plug each time you swap batteries can become a pain when you do a lot of charging.
