I use this in candle making. It works great for what it is. It's nice and lightweight, although I think it may be a little too light. It gets dented VERY easily. I had 4lbs of wax in it one time and actually dented the bottom setting it on the electric heating element. Not slamming it down either, just simply setting it down. Not that the dent hurts it in any way, just surprised me.My one and only complaint is the handle. It is riveted to the side. Unfortunatly, the rivits and the plastic handle are both very cheap and it started wobbling almost immediatly and there is no way to tighten it up. So far the handle has not fallen off but I dont expect that to continue for long. for now I just use a removable clamp handle on it and it works fine.I do recommend this for first timers to candle making while making sure this is something you want to do. But once you get more involved you'll want to upgrade and get a higher quality pot.
