Flawless rod
The size, I prefer shorter rods to fit in car easier, the strength of this rod, the quality of this is outstanding. Very well manufactured. Only problem is weight can be kinda tiresome to hold for long periods. I'm very happy with purchase. Been going after bigger and bigger fish and this will definitely provide the to hold this fish with out giving out.

Very durable and reliable rod. Put a Diawa Sealine 900 on it and it looks absolutely stunning. Ready to drag in the big boys.

It didn't beat the gold standard for value fishing rods
I gave it a shot because I liked the aluminum butt with dual metal fastening rings. I have a similar model like this with pulley eyelets for trolling and its works fine.Holding the fiblink (6ft)rod in my hand and then immediately swapping it for an ugly stik tiger (7ft) rod the difference in weight is noticeable. I realize the tiger rod has a plastic butt with a single plastic fastening ring but its lighter. Extra weight only adds to fatigue before the fight ever begins.It is a difficult task to expect an unknown rod without a long history to overtake the value champ.My fishing buddies tell me that a couple more fishing trips and I'll probably begin the upgrade game as much more expensive rods and reels attract my attention. Who knows, but for now while I remain in the bugdet-minded, high value category of consumer, this rod didn't make an impression upon me and it was returned. I pulled the trigger on another tiger rod and will return the big water ugly stik version I picked up from a big box store. For offshore tiger makes more sense than bigwater. Recommend a nylon sleeve to protect the rod during transit and storage, well worth the few dollars spent on them. See you on the boat.
